Leadership Winter Park is dedicated to increasing awareness of community issues, inspiring active
involvement and encouraging greater responsibility for the purpose of creating community trustees
for Winter Park and our region.

ORIENTATION RETREAT

Kick start your experience and meet your fellow class
members at an overnight retreat in Cocoa Beach.
Expectations:
Develop connections with other class members

October 8, 2015
Discover what make Winter Park a unique and
culturally vibrant city and community.
Expectations:
Awareness of issues regarding Winter Park’s
past, present and future
Experience often overlooked areas
Create an affinity for Winter Park diversity and
culture

EDUCATION
November 12, 2015
Learn how the Central Florida educational system
prepares adults and youth for successful futures.
Expectations:
Experience the latest teaching concepts and
technology used in the classroom
Know how the educational system is run and what
our citizen responsibilities are
Identify roadblocks and successes for Orange
County Public Schools

HUMAN SERVICES

Build an awareness of community needs and
organizations which address them.

See how local government impacts our daily personal

Stay up-to-date on market changes and the latest business developments which directly affect Winter Park
and surrounding areas.

ARTS & CULTURE
April 14, 2016
Experience Winter Park’s lively art community
including theater, museums and local history.
Expectations: Develop an appreciation for various cultural
offerings throughout the city Hear from nationally recognized leaders in the art
community Learn how arts & culture establishments affect the
local economy

SPORTS & LEISURE
May 12, 2016
Celebrate the program end with a session loaded with
exciting activities and team spirit.
Expectations: Enjoy the camaraderie of fellow class members Engage in teamwork activities for various skill levels Discover what Winter Park has to offer for a
variety of leisure activities
LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Each session includes dedicated leadership development activities and training. A guided tour of Stewart Friedman’s Total Leadership text is at the forefront of the program and provides a multitude of resources for
valuable personal and professional development.
Share ideas and opportunities for community stewardship and business development with other growing leaders.

$2,000 (Chamber Member); $2,500 (Non-Chamber Member) payable to the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. Following June 30, price will increase to $2,200/$2,700. All tuition pay-ments are non-refundable. If accepted into the Leadership Winter Park program, invoice for my tuition should be directed to:
