Your

Personal InvitationDear Pilgrims,

There’s an Irish proverb that says, “Your feet will take you where your heart is.” This is the

purpose of going on pilgrimage. St. Augustine says, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in

thee [God].” When we travel on pilgrimage, we are traveling to holy places where our hearts can

rest in God. We are able to rest on pilgrimage because we are away from our desks, homes,

responsibilities, and worries that sometimes keep us from loving God. Pilgrimage is a time to focus

on our relationship with God and each other. This pilgrimage experience to Ireland

is meant to do all of the above: to give us a time to rest in God, re-start or continue growing in our relationship with God, and to build a stronger

community of faith. We will accomplish this by visiting the gorgeous country of Ireland; praying in beautiful and ancient parish churches and monasteries; driving and walking through Gods creation; celebrating Mass daily; praying together; and of course by spending time together listening to Irish music,

eating delicious food, and enjoying whiskey and beer. You won’t want to miss this pilgrimage experience. We’ll have

a whale of a time! If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to contact the Catholic Pilgrim Office or myself. May our blessed Lord continue to hold you and your family in the palm of His hand. St. Patrick, Pray for Us!

God Bless,Fr. Dom
