INTRODUCTION

The EQ Australian Indonesian Businesswomen's & Professionals Network 2013, at the Grand Mahakam Hotel - Rafflesia Room, Jakarta Indonesia, is hosted by IPP (Ikatan Perempuan Profesional) - Indonesian Professional Women Affiliation & Creative Center, a strategic marketing and communi-cations consultant.

Now that the Asian Century is upon us, Western Australia's trade relationship with Indonesia is the envy of all other states.

Indonesia-Australia have a tremendous opportunity for the expansion of two way export markets. This relationship can be mutually beneficial but we must work to build strong ties and make every attempt to better understand the intricacies of their economy, its governance and culture.

The April 2013 EQ delegation will meet IPP members and a broad range of Government, Non-Government and private sectors, leading professionals, advocates and academic representatives to discuss a range of issues and relationship.

A. KASANDRA PUTRANTO, Psy Chair of Indonesian Professional Women Affiliation (IPP)

Graduated from the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia's, she has also got talent in the areas of marketing, accounting, legal, and human resources (HR). She is experienced in public relations at an international hotel chain and became executive assistant to the divisional human resources, training, advertising, promotion, public relations, quality control and security.

As a psychologist, she established Kasandra & Associates with his colleagues serving adults consulting and clinical therapy, counseling and child therapy, and psychological services for companies. Since 2010 she has also been working a Lecturer in the Faculty of Psychology, University of Pancasila Jakarta.

MIRINA J. MUIRDirector of Legal & Corporate EQ Consulting

A senior executive, leader and manager with specialist knowledge of member-based organizations having held various senior management roles and having served on the boards of a number of organizations over the last 20 years. She is currently the Director at Arbitration & Mediation - AM Australia and registered as fully chartered International Arbitrator & Mediators. She also manages EQ Stakeholder Engagements and Management.

ASTRID VASILEAustralian-Indonesian Businesswomen's & Professionals Network - Chair

As the Chairperson/Founder of EQ, she has since managed and grown the network. She began her career as business entrepreneur. Currently, she is Managing Director of Ashridge Holding Pty. Ltd. and also the Director of Vazari Property Trust, and an active member in Building & Constructions of Master Builder, of Australian Indonesian Business Council (AIBC), and of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia.

In 2009, Astrid won Business Partner of the Year in the HIA-NAB Western Australian Housing Awards, and was a finalist for Australian Awards in 2010.

WIEKE GURMarketing Director, EQ Co-Founder

A graduate from Faculty of Economy, University Indonesia, she handles EQ branding and corporate image. She specialises in Marketing & Digital Strategy, Cross Cultural Communication, Information Architecture, and Cultural Intelligence.

As an independent consultant and an active committee member of Australia Indonesia Business Council (AIBC), she divides her time between Jakarta and Perth. In the music industry, she is also a well known song writer.

UTI RAHARDJOStrategic Partner / Founder of Creative Center

Uti Rahardjo commenced her entrepreneurial journey after joining in multinational companies for more than 15 years including JWT AdForce, Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann Erickson, Leo Burnet and BBDO. With such vast experiences, she then founded Creative Center in 2000 who serve many blue chip companies such as Unilever, BII, Indika Energy, Bukopin and many more. She also helps some NGOs to empower society through some movements such as Indonesia Hemat, Indonesia Berbakti, and support women empowerment through creativepreneurship.

Nominated as one of the Indonesian Female Executives 2005 by Dewi Magazine, a finalist of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Winning Women 2011 and Anugerah Perempuan Indonesia 2012, she is also committed to nurturing the Indonesia creative economy.

ABOUT EQ

EQ'S name arises from the Equator, which passes through Indonesia.

EQ formally recognises the number of Indonesian women living in Perth, Western Australia, whom engaged in the business sectors as individuals at a professional level and their significant contribution to the success of our member organisations, both large and small.

Formed in 2010, EQ was originally founded as the body for Australian-Indonesian business & professional women. EQ forum was introduced and through a series of workshop and networking events, succeeded in raising the profile of women within the membership, providing business and industry education, valuable networking and opportunities for mentoring.

The friendly, non-threatening environment has attracted many Australian-Indonesian women to engage with EQ and along with new skills and business contacts, with some valuable friendships being developed.

Membership is on a yearly basis with no minimum term. We give members access to resources, education and inspiration - whenever they like and wherever they may be. In 2012 the membership was expanded to include corporate and individual membership. The Essential Role of EQ :• To facilitate communications and co-operation among its members

and provide additional contact and networking opportunities.• To raise the cultural awareness in both country (Australia-Indonesia)
