IEC AND RMEC MEETING

FOR DECISION

1. PURPOSE

Welcome members and other attendees; confirm attendance, alternates, conflicts of

interest and agenda for the joint IEC and RMEC July Meeting (#49).

2. BACKGROUND

The IEC and RMEC have various obligations under the National Electricity Rules,

Operating Manuals, Election Procedures and Terms of Reference that govern meeting

arrangements.

3. SIGNIFICANT ISSUES

The IEC to confirm the following preliminary matters:

attendance and approval of alternates

quorum of at least two DNSP members, two Local Retailer/Market Customer members, and one independent member

conflicts of interest, if any, for IEC members and alternates

The RMEC to confirm the following preliminary matters:

attendance and approval of any alternates

quorum of at least two DNSP members, two Market Customer members and one AEMO member

conflicts of interest, if any, for RMEC members and alternates

The IEC and RMEC to confirm the following preliminary matters:

meeting agenda and any items for other business.

4. IMPLICATIONS/ACTIONS

Completion of the preliminary matters outlined above will ensure the IEC meets its

obligation under the National Electricity Rules and the IEC and RMEC meet their

respective obligations under Operating Manuals, Election Procedures and Terms of

Reference.

5. DRAFT RESOLUTIONS

The Chairperson confirmed attendance at the meeting and sought approval for alternates

where no previous approval was in place.
