    applications for continuing professional education offered by DePaul University

    • Member, DePaul Health Ad Hoc Committee, member (selected in May 2019). Charge: enhance

    DePaul’s portfolio of health programs. Plan to become a permanent committee of the university.

    Co-chairs election completed. Committee co-chairs are planning to have a meeting with the

    Provost and President to define the charge of the Committee. Co-chairs are submitting a proposal

    to make the Committee a permanent committee under the Faculty Council.

    College Service: College of Science and Health

    • Chair, Strategic Planning Committee on Graduate Programs aka Graduate Research Excellence in

    Academics & Training (GREAT) Committee (Chair, 2020- present; Member 2019-2020). The

    Committee has two strategic priorities that include supporting doctoral programs to enhance the

    reputation of the university and sustain its Carnegie classification and strengthening the existing

    graduate and professional programs to ensure offerings, prepare our students for emerging career

    opportunities, and respond to societal needs.

    • Member, Teaching and Learning Committee (2018-present). Reviews all activities and issues

    related to teaching and student learning experience. The TLC selects the recipient of the Annual

    CSH Outstanding Teacher Award from the pool of nominated candidates.

    • Member, CSH Strategic Planning Committee (2019-2020) – the committee was tasked to develop

    a college-wide strategic plan, objectives , and implementation timeline. The committee had three

    two-hours in-person meeting to identify the strategic goals and objectives for CSH. Several

    iteration of the strategic plans were reviewed by all members of the CSH Planning Committee.

    Consensus was reached and the Strategic Plan was finalized in Spring 2020.

    • Member, Search Committee for the SON Director (July 2019-March 2020). The Search

    Committee reviewed all applications and determined three eligible candidates using the candidate

    review rubric. The rubric was developed by the Chair, Dr. Craig Klugman which guided the

    Search Committee in sifting through the applicant files and moving the candidates who met the

    minimum requirements and qualifications for the SON Director to the next step of the search

    process. The use of rubric ensured a fair and just selection process. The

    Department Service: School of Nursing Service

    • Chair, Doctoral Study Committee (DSC), Currently serves as the Associate Co-Director for the

    Doctor of Nursing Practice program and Co-Chair of the DSC. Oversees the implementation of

    all curricular-related matters pertaining to the FNP, AGNP and DNP Completion tracks of the

    SON doctoral program. Ensures full compliance with the university and CCNE accreditation

    standards (Chair, 2018 – present; member, 2014-2018)

    • Chair, Curriculum Committee in the Nursing Department. Served as the Chair for three years

    from 2015 to 2018. Conducted MENP, RN to MS, and DNP curricular reviews. Led the NCLEX

    Success Task Force Sub-Committee from 2016-2017. Participated in the preparation of the State

    of Illinois CIPR report and the CCNE Accreditation Self-study Report. Involved in the

    development of key strategies for RN to MS program implementation in 2017. Assisted the

    Associate Director for the RN to MS program with the development and integration of FNP and

    AGNP nurse practitioner tracks into the MS program of study in 2018. Completed a review and

    updated all MENP course description and objectives with NCLEX blueprint mapping in 2016.

    Accomplishment: The SON successfully met all the CCNE accreditation standards for MENP,

    RN to MS, and DNP programs in February 2019. The DNP program received a 10-year fully

    accredited program status (2019-2029).

    • Curriculum Committee Member for one year from 2014-2015. Reviewed the NCLEX blueprint;

    Reviewed and approved course syllabus changes for the MENP program. Participated in all

    monthly meetings and contributed to the CCNE’s initial five-year accreditation of DNP program

    (2014-2019).

    • Member, Search Committee for the SON Tenure Track Faculty Position (2019-2020). The Search

    Committee reviewed all applications for Assistant and Associate Professors Tenure Track

    positions and determined eight eligible candidates using the candidate review rubric. The rubric

    was developed by the Chair, Dr. Barbara Harris which guides the Search Committee in sifting

    through the applicant files and moving the eight candidates who met the minimum requirements

    and qualifications for the three TT positions to the next step of the search process. The use of

    rubric ensured a fair and just selection process. The search was completed in July 2020.

    • Co-chair, Human Relations Council, 2-year term, 2014-2016; Conducted and analyzed data on

    civility quotient of faculty members; presented data during the 2014 faculty spring retreat

    • Faculty Councilor, Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society of Nursing, DePaul University Zeta Sigma

    Chapter; Fall 2015 – Summer 2018. Attended meetings and provided guidance and

    recommendations to the Board related to all programs, events and community service activities of

    the Zeta Sigma Chapter.

    • Faculty Adviser to the Jonas Scholar; Sponsored by American Association of Colleges of

    Nursing, Private, $22,500.00 for 2 years (Fall 2016- Summer 2018).
