I NTRODUCTI ON

The fight that ---Congolese patriots within APARECO indefatigably

lead for the liberation by all means of occupation and exploitationo in the

Democratic Republic of Congo is a noble and rightgeous fight. H o w e v e r ,

s o m e p o w e r fu l p o l i t i c al a n d f i n a n cia l l ob b ie s f r o m th e W e st a n d f r o m

Af r i ca d is to r t the nob le sense o f th is f igh t eve ry day . This in the only

purpose to protect their sordid interests in our country the DRC.

That is why the brief narrative that we present you aims to

highlight numerous zones of shadows which hide the identity of --- men who

planned in backstage the invasion of Zaire. This narrative aims to show the

depth and the sharpness of the devilish mechanism of --- secret links which

always been existing between Paul Kagame and Joseph Kabila, and to explain

how their complicity allowed to realize the biggest imposture of the political

history of Africa. This narrative thus redraws the tortuous headway of the

bloody ascent of an enigmatic man of doubious origins and adverse

intentions.

APR (Rwandan Patriotic Army) Rwandan military officers in exile amongsome of them knew Joseph Kabila during his instruction in the

Rwandan military training centres in 1995.

Zairean Armed Forces field officers who were eyewitnesses of severalcrimes and among whom some people were even under the command

of the victims.

Family members of the victims among which some collectedcondemning evidence and started prosecution which obviously

remained unproceeded.

1 . His o r ig ins :

Joseph Kabila, in his real name Hyppo l i t e KANAMBE, was

born on June 4th, 1971 of a Rwandan father on the name of

Chr is topher KANAMBE and a Rwandan mother named Marce l l ine

MUKAMBUKUJE. His father was an opossant to the Rwandan

former president Juvnal HABYARIMANA. He met Lauren t Ds i r

KABI L A, opposant of the Zairean former president MOBUTU, in the

resistance movements based in the mountains on the rwando-

zairean border, where they fought against their common

enemies :MOBUTU et HABYARIMANA.

After the death of his friend Christopher Kanambe in 1977,

LD Kabila married (in the traditional customs) his widow Marcelline

and adopted (in the same traditional customs) her two young twin

children, a girl and a boy: Jenny KANAMBE and Hyppolite KANAMBE.

2 . A neg lected you th :

LD Kabila, who wed--- several women

(of which more than 13 ---) when he went

underground---and of which he got a number of

children (more than 25), had only a limited ---

time to take care of the latter. So as he had not

been able to push his studies beyond the

secondary level, the young Hyppolite Kanambe

was forced to do several jobs for his living----; amongst which as a

taximan,as a barman and of mechanic in the cities of Dar-are -

Salaam and of Kigoma in Tanzania.

---Indeed, his"foster father" (hear step father), LD Kabila,

lived with all his family in exile in Tanzania during Hyppolite's

childhood and adolescence. Kabila spent more of his time in exile in

the traffic of the gold and diamond rather than fighting MOBUTU's

regime; which often led him to cross the forests and the mountains

of Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda, to exercise his

fraudulent business.

3 . Bac k to t h e n a t i v e l a n d

In 1995, Hyppolite Kanambe decided to get back to his

motherland the Rwanda, where he was welcomed by h is unc le

Jam es KABAREBE, Colonel and Head of the intelligence services of

the Rwandan Patriotic Army (APR), who accommodates him in his

own home.

At first, Kabarebe finds for his his nephew a

job as "d r i v e r b o y ", in other words drive

assistant of a delivery truck transporting

goods in Kigali, b e fo re e m p lo y in g h im a s

h is p r i va te chau f feu r .

In 1996, when the Americans launch their

military ---base to prepare the invasion of

Zaire, Paul Kagame appoints Colonel James

Kabarebe as Head of the military operations and responsible of the

"Za i re F i le " . He supervises the recruitment and the training of the

Democratic Republic of Congo constitutes the crowning of a

machiavellian plan skilfully conceived by the " b r a i n " , Pau l Kagame,and accurately executed by his accomplice Hyppolite Kanambe turned

into Joseph Kabila, under the directives and by means of his uncle and

mentor Jam es Kabarebe .

To reach h is goa ls , Kagam had conce ived a p lan o f

in this context that an important number of Rwandan political and

military executives pointedly showed their false Congolese identity.

Among them we shall remember the most comical case of James

Kabarebe w hom Kagame im posed to Lau ren t Dsi r Kab i la as

Army Ch ie f o f S ta f f o f the Congo lese Army in 1997 and 1998 . A

This is why, it is essential to know the hidden details of the

ascent of this sphinx of which the apparent composure and gentleness

oppose terribly to the ferocity which he manifests at exterminating his

real or presumed adversaries.

3 .The success ive s tages o f t he ascen t o f t he sph inx

Everything starts in 1996, a few weeks after the AFDL

coalition 's launch of the war against the Zaire of Mobutu, when Laurent

Dsir Kabila is recruited by the Ugandan president Yow er i Museven i

and presented to Pa u l Ka g a m e (w i t h t h e b le s s in g o f t h e Un i t e d

Sta tes) to head the "Zairean rebellion".

During the introduction of LD Kabila to Paul Kagame, the

latter is rather disappointed by the aspect of his host who had,

according to him, no look of a fighter, still less of a military man to lead

this important military expedition in Zaire. I n f r o n t o f Pa u l Ka g a m e

rese rves and anx ie t ies , James Kabarebe reassu res h im by

sugges t ing an acce la ra ted t r a in ing t o the Rw andan specia l

So Hyppolite Kanambe appears as the providential man

who is henceforth going to serve as " s a fe t y v a l v e " and as " g u a r d

ra i l " beside Laurent Dsir Kabila. He w i l l b e a t t h e s a m e t im e

g u a rd ia n o f t h e i n te re st s o f Rw a n d a, in other words, the eyes and

the ears of James Kabarebe, which was in fact LD Kabila's "direct boss".

To allow Hyppolite to fill his mission near LD Kabila more

effectively, Co lone l Kabarebe w i l l h im to a qu ick in t ens ive

t r a in in g f o r i n t e l l ig e n ce o f f i ce r ( O.R. ) i n t h e Rw a n d a n A rm y

in t e l l i gence se rv ices t r a in ing cen t r e .

From this moment onwards, the process of his infiltration

at the core of the AFDL plan and around LD Kabila will accelarate.

Indeed, after a brief in-service training i n q u a l i t y o f h i s

unc le James Kabarebe ' s a ide -de -camp (in order to get him

acquainted to the "Zaire file", get to know his new country and

integrate the instructions and objectives of his mission with LD Kabila),

Hyppo l i t e Kanambe m ade h is f i r s t o f f i c ia l appearance beside LD

Ka b il a w h o i n t r o d u c ed h im a s h i s c ol l a bo ra te r ( n o t a s ad o p te d

son o r even s tep son ) , a f te r the fa l l o f the c i t y o f K isangan i in

M a rch 1 9 9 7 .

At this stage of his mission, h is task cons is ted in

cen t ra l i z ing and in f i l t e r ing a l l t he aud iences o f LD Kab i la and in

repo r t ing da i l y to h is d i rec t supe rv ise r Kabarebe , to the h igh

a t te n t i o n o f t h e "Bo s s " , h e a r Pa u l Ka g a m e . In this line of action,

James Kabarebe had personally enjoined LD Kabila and the Rwandan

security officers around him, to include Hyppolite Kanambe to all

audiences without exception - so that he could take notes down! No

audience was to be given if Hyppolite was not invited.

Za i re ! Kagame's offer was quite worth its weight of gold, for the simple

reason that in fact, the Americans had opposed to the nomination of LD

Kabila at the head of Zaire. Against this new ally of conjoncture, the

C.I.A. had a heavy file of serious litigations! Kagame knew that LD

Kabila was well aware of this American disposition towards him. No

wonder then, that a few months later, M' Zee broke the juicy contracts

he had previously agreed on with the American Kansas companies! This

decision would cost him his own life.

climate between Rwanda and LD Kabila deteriorates quickly. As good

strategist, Kabarebe quickly decides to call his joker back, in case

4 . Pre t ence dem arca t ion f rom Kagame and Kabarebe

Shortly after the official inauguration of LD Kabila in

Kinshasa, the inhabitants of the capital are horrified when they discover

the trick : t h e s o -c al l e d "w a r o f l i b e ra t i o n " w a s a ctu a l l y h id d in g a

d re a d fu l Rwa n d a n i n v a s io n . The Rwandan military of the coalition

who behaved as on conquered territory in the Congolese capital struck

the Congoleses pride and started getting on their nerves. The

discontent rumbling rose and popular pressure was put on LD Kabila,

himself exasperated by the arrogance of the Rwandan learned

assembly which had invaded all the sectors of the political and the

military power of the country.

As a result, the reliable relations between LD Kabila and his

Rwandan mentors went bad. M' Zee, forced by his people who

demanded the departure of the "Rwa n d a n i n v a d e rs " began to show

the first signs of nervousness.

This situation does not escape James Kabarebe, the fine

strategist, who promptly alerts at once his boss Kagame. Both decide to

immediately proceed with the higher phase of their plan: James

Ka b a re b e th u s im m e d ia te l y p a s s e s t h e p la n i n s t r u c t i o n s o n t o

Jo s ep h Ka b i l a a n d n o t i f i e s h im th a t t h e l a t t e r h a s n o w b e co m e

with the Katangan colonel Eddy Kapend (very close to LD Kabila),

then with General Anse lme Masasu , natural leader of the Congolese

military native of Kivu. The connection with the latter will result in a

bigger trust from his "father" who will confide him t h e i n te rm e d ia r y ' s

ro le b e twe e n h im a n d th e Co n g o le s e m i l i t a r y n a t i v e o f K i v u ,

w h o s e t r u s t h e h a s j u s t g a in e d th a n k s t o M a sa su s f r i e n d sh ip .

So w hen th e qua r re l be tw een LD Kab i la and h is

Rw andan and Ugandan ex -a l l i es a rose in June , Ju ly and Augus t ,

In August, 1998, after the Rwandan invasion of Kinshasa

failed and after the resulting Congolese revolt against rwandans, t o

acce le ra te the execu t ion o f the f ina l phase , Joseph Kab i la

re c e i v e d th e o rd e r f r o m K ig a l i t o g e t r i d o f a n y im p e d in g o r

h a rm fu l e l em e n t f r o m h i s ci r c l e o r i n h i s w a y .

To facilitate this delicate mission, James Kabarebe

m a k e s th e Rw a n d a n m i l i t a r y i n t e l l ig e n ce s erv i c es i n f r a s t r u c tu re

ava i lab le to Joseph Kab i le to supp ly h im w i th fa lse ev idence

w h ic h h e w i l l u s e t o i n c r im in a te t h e Co n g o les e m i l i t a r y o f f i c e r s

ta rg e te d f o r e l im in a t i o n . At the same time, his own privileged

position with LD Kabila, henceforth convinced of the sincere attachment

of his "son", gives him a very powerful supplementary weapon against

his victims!

Strong with these assets, Joseph Kabila starts a sbloody

journey, worthy of these of a " s er i a l k i l l e r " . For each of his crime, he

knows he can count on the expertise of his Rwandan mentors who take

care to supply him with the "genuine evidence", which he presents to

his "father", claiming to have pulled it out of the Rwandan services

thanks to his own intelligence networks.

Congolese military officers native of the East, Joseph Kab i la had

re c e i v e d , f r o m h i s " f a th e r " , t h e re s p o n s a b i l i t y o f t r a n s p o r t i n g

Unfortunately, b ig q u a n t i t i e s o f t h i s l o g is t i c h elp w e re

re g u la r l y h i j a c k e d b y J o s e p h Ka b i l a f o r t h e b e n e f i t o f t h e

Rwa n d a n t r o o p s . Kadogos committed to the service of Joseph Kabila

eventually discovered his betrayal and decided to alert their natural

leader Masasu. Hurt by this revelation on the trickery of the one that he

believed to be his "brother and friend", Masasu decided to confront

him. This proved to be wrong, because with this initiative he signed his

death sentence, although Joseph Kabila friendly reassured him and

rejected altogether all the charges and all the suspicions against him.

After their interview, afraid to be denounced to the

Joseph Kabila easily received the green light from his "father" for the

execution of general Anselme Masasu, without lawsuit. So was this

army officer delivered to his best friend Joseph by M' Zee, with eight

other valuable Congolese officers involved as accomplices in the

A f te r Masasu s dea th , Joseph Kab i la s ta r ted a rea l

h is sec re t . Th is s i tua t ion p rovoked a mass ive exodus o f young

s old ier s a n d o f f i ce r s , o f w h o m m o s t w e re "Ka d o g o s" n a t i v e o f

K ivu . Fortunately, some managed to join Europe and were able to give

their testimonies, whereas several others were caught up in their

attempt to escape and were executed without any lawsuit.

In his killing frenzy, Joseph Kabila, to reach his final goal,

sacrificed several other bright Congolese officers.

To illustrate his dark journey, some of the most well known cases are

pinned up below:

troops on the various fronts inside the country.

But cu r ious ly , genera l O lenga and Joseph Kab i la

t ro o p s .

For example, this case which occurred in August 1999

when Major Tshimanga received the order to go on a mission to Mbuji

Mayi to provide the troops of the Congolese Armed Forces in the

battlefront. At the las t m inu te , he rece ived genera l O lenga s

o rde r to de l i ve r these equ ipmen t and med ic ines to LUBAU in

CABI NDA, w h e re t h e Rw a n d a n t r o o p s w e re b a se d !

As he could no longer bear his superiorss betrayal, the

Major Tshimanga Mbie took to denounce them to the Head of State LD

Kabila where he sought an audience. Wa rn e d b y t h e i r m e n p la c e d

around the p res iden t o f the Repub l i c , Joseph Kab i la and

Frano is Olenga p reem ed h im . A dea th squad caugh t h im up and

co ld ly execu ted h im in h is bed room, be fo re he cou ld in fo rm LD

Kabi la .

This case is the best known because the victims family

engaged with all the judicial authorities of the DRC and a complaint was

registered with them. Several requests were sent to the political and

judicial authorities worldwide among which the King of the Belgians

whose cabinet acknowledged receipt without further action!

As for Major Tshimanga, three very valuable general

officers ex-FAZ have known the same fate. These officers, in spite of

serving in the Zairean Armed Forces under Mobutu, were very

appreciated by LD Kabila for their competence. All three They

commanded military operations to the battlefront. Hav ing no t i ced ,

a f t e r i n q u i r y , t h a t t h e d i s p atc h e d w a r eq u ip m e n t w a s

sys tem at ica l l y h i jacked by Joseph Kab i la , th ey w ere abou t to

n o t i f y p re sid e n t L D Kab i l a o f t h e h ig h t r e a so n h e w a s v i ct im o f

f r o m h i s " s o n " w h e n th e y w e re sn a tc h e d b y t h e Jo se p h Kab i l a' s

u n fo rg i v a b le m a c h in e . A f a k e g e n u in e d o c u m e n t f r o m th e

Rwa n d a n s e rv i c e s m a d e th e m d a n g e ro u s " t r a i t o r s "

c ol l a bo ra t i n g w i t h Rw a n d a to e l im in a t e p re s id e n t L D Kab i l a ! But

in reality these three officers were as much a threat as an obstacle to

Joseph Kabilas mission process.

So, having received the authorization from his "father",

Joseph Kabila proceeded to the execution of these three highly valuable

general officers in ANKORO in 1999. These were:

- major general M ULI M BI M ABI LO

- brigadier BEKAZW A BAKUN DULU, mecano N.004142X

- brigadier NGWALA

But the cynical aspect of this situation is that each of these

betrayal operations constitued positive points for Joseph: the more he

denounced "traitors" and important "moles", the more he gained his

"father"s trust who believed this was about dedication and

righteousness worthy of a "son".

Brutus has finally seen his record beaten in Congo!

We would need to write several books if we wanted to

describe all the testimonies of the eyewitnesses which attended or

participated in the numerous murders of hundreds of thousands

Congolese soldiers in the battlefront and in Kinshasa on Joseph Kabilas

orders, either as department head of military intelligence of M' Zee, or

as chief of staff of the ground Forces of the FAC.

But we can quote some cases of very known officers which

were murdered in Kinshasa after the failed invasion of 1998-1999:

colonel TSHEKE MUAKA MANKETE, mecano N.162262E, formercommander(major) of the Military Superior Center (CSM) of the

2nd Republic,

colonel NTONDELE MI THAY, mecano N. 170472R colonel KAJUBA SELENGE MA DUW A , mecano N. 161982N colonel VONDI NZI TA colonel NDOMA M UTEKE

To this list it is necessary to add other officers, killed in

2006, of which most were poisoned, namely colonels: NZALE

PAPEDOA, NYASWA , KATALI KO, MAZABA, MBELENGA and

OPANGO-DEKE.

We also need to remind the murders, in September 2006,

ofMajor GBONOBE, former Director of the Computing service in the

Military Integration Structure (SMI), and of Capta in SUMAI L I , the

fo rm e r p re s id e n t i a l p i l o t , both meanly murdered in their own

residence.

To the targeted eliminations of Congolese superior officers

who constituted obstacles to Joseph Kabila's ascent, it is important to

add the massacre of FAC troops : in the night of 23 till 24 November

2000, when Joseph Kabila, then chief of staff of the ground Forces of

the FAC, brought the Congolese troops in an ambush to facilitate the

fall of the city of PUETO in the hands of the Rwandan troops. The fa l l

VI . ASSASSI NATI ON OF LAURENT- DESI REKABI LA : These da rk zones one do no t w an t t o

en l i gh t

LD Kabilas death has already poured a lot of ink without

the mystery which surrounds him was unveiled. Far from us the idea to

supply here the hidden causes and the definitive identity of the real

authors of this tragedy which henceforth makes the Congolese politics

a saga. However, while discovering some circumstances which

preceded and followed the tragedy of LD Kabilas murder in the direct

line of Joseph Kabila's ascent towards the summit of the power, we can

only be upset with the concordance, the coherence and the

convergence of these facts which place LD Kabilas "son" in the very

center of the scene.

Thus let us examine the main elements that were set

before the tragedy strictly speaking:

ACT I : K inshasa , Octob e r 2 000 : Mrs S I FA Mahanya s a r res t

Mrs SIFA MAHANYA , presented

wrongly as being Joseph Kabila biological

mother (we shall come back to it), is really

Congolese and it is one of the numerous

declared or known "wives" of LD Kabila with

whom she had 6 children named: Josph ine ,

Cc i le , Masengo, Glor ia , K ik i and Maguy .

Mrs Sifa lived with her husband in the Marble Palace, the

official residence of the Head of State when at the end of October of

the year 2000, LD Kabila has a severe discomfort after a meal. The

medical examinations immediately practised diagnose a po ison ing .

The investigations led by the presidential security staff raise a b u n d le

o f se r ious ind ica t ions o f assum pt ion conve rg ing on Mr s SI FA,

w h o i s a cc u se d o f at t e m p t m u rd e r o n h e r h u s b an d a n d i s

Behind his "father"s back, Joseph

Kabila o rg a n i s e s t h e p r i s o n e r t o b e re m o v e d

the prison, Mr Kelly DIDO KITUNGUA. Mrs Sifa

Mahanya is immediately secretely transferred to

Lubumbashi where she is accommodated in a

discrete place.

ACT I I I : Lubum bash i , 12 January 2001 : LD Kab i la i s adv ised to

to cancel h is t r ip t o Cam eroun

The day after the removal of Mrs Sifa Mahanya, Joseph

Kabila contacts his "father" who was preparing to fly to Cameroon to

take part at the Summit of the French-speaking world. Joseph advises

LD Kabila not to go to Cameroon on the basis of reliable intelligence in

his possession information, about a plot against the president of DRC.

LD Kabila who deeply trusts his "son" cancels his trip to Cameroon.

From Lubumbashi, where he was, the Head of State get back directly to

Kinshasa.

ACT I V : K inshasa , 15 January 200 1 : Joseph Kab i la o rde rs t he

d isa rm am en t o f t he ga r r i son o f K inshasa , th en he leaves has t i l y

The day before the tragedy, on order of Joseph Kabila, all

military of the FAC garrison of Kinshasa are disarmed without any

explanation. Much more, colonel Eddy Kapend receives Joseph Kabila's

strict orders to proceed to the arrest of the Head of the External

Management Intelligence (ANR / OF), Mr Ismal Tutwemoto. It is Mr

Leta Mangasa, the ANR Chief General Administrator general-in chief

who executes this arrest.

After having taken all these apparently "inexplicable"

measures, Joseph Kabila quicly and discreetly flies to Lubumbashi from

where he makes a mysterious trip outside the country.

ACT V : K inshasa, 16 Januar y 20 01 : LD Kab i la is k i l led

In the middle-day, shots blast between the Marble Palace

walls, the presidential residence. LD Kabila, seriously wounded to his

head, dies a short time later, even before being loaded on the

helicopter which transports him to the Private hospital Ngaliema.

It is at nightfall that Joseph Kabila gives the order to open

NDjili airport closed since the announcement of the attempted coup,

specially for him, to allow the landing of his plane from Lubumbashi!

This behaviour of Joseph Kabila seems at the least strange!

How come a son, who scrupulously watched his "father"

security until the day before, and who advise the cancellation of his trip

to Cameroon because an imminent deadly danger, how come after the

announcement of the attack on his "father", this "son" remained

cloistered in Lubumbashi, at only 2 hours flight from Kinshasa, and

joins the capital only at the end of the day, several hours after his

"father"s death? Wh e re h a d h e sp e n t t h e d a y ? Wh a t d id h e m a tch

d o a l l t h i s t im e ? Wh e re d id h e re a l l y c o m e f r o m ? Wa s

Lu b u m b a sh i n o t a d i v e r s io n ?

So many questions over the underlying causes of LD

Kabilas death should have been investigated. However, for our

country, we have been working for years now. And today, numerous

recorded testimonies are examined and scrutinised.

The formal testimonies of

the Congolese medical staff who had

received LD Kabila body at the

helicopter landing strongly confirm

that the Congolese president had died

well before his arrival to the private

hospital.

hidden in Lubumbashi so far, gets out of her hiding place and is

propelled on the national front scene. She is suddenly presented to the

national and international press as " the weeping widow " of the

deceased president and the biological "mother" of Joseph Kabila who

has just taken his "father"s seat in the conditions which we know. And

here we are, the buckle is buckled!

However, in his lifetime, throughout the war and during his

mandate to the head of the country, LD Kab i la never o f f ic ia l ly

i n t r o d u c e d th e " f i r s t l a d y " t o t h e Co n g o le s e p e o p le , i n o th e r

w o rd s : h i s of f i c i al w i f e a m o n g h i s d o ze n o f w i v e s! And, the one

that was presented as " t h e w e e pi n g w i d o w " had been removed from

prison where she was held for attempted murder on her husband by

poisoning. And the author of this removal is the very one who has

taken the seat of the victim, and of which Mrs Sifa gives for the very

first time, the honorable testimony of being "the biological mother". Do

you get the picture?

The final stage setting for this strategy contains vulgar

mistakes which call to all Congolese in the tragedy the Democratic

Republic of Congo is going through.
