Work Experience Mechanical Engineer — Dewberry, New York, New York January 2015 – Present

Participate in the project management of NYC's “Build it Back” program in association with NYC Housing Recovery.

This program is dedicated to helping rebuild homes affected by Hurricane Sandy. As a feasibility analyst I assess the

values of damage and assign proposed repair pathways.

Assist with the design of HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems for large-scale commercial buildings including:

specification of system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and building information modeling.

Design Engineer — Humanscale, New York, New York June 2014 – September 2014

Conceptualize and design User Experiences and mechanical solutions.

Engage in brainstorm sessions with design team for New Product Development of ergonomic products for the office.

Interface with manufacturers to define part manufacturability and acceptability.

Mechanical Engineer Intern — RKS Design, Thousand Oaks, California June 2013 – August 2013

Product Development Engineer — W.L. Gore & Associates, Newark, Delaware September 2013 – December 2013

Worked in the industrial filter division to design, fabricate, and develop a test stand and procedure to characterize the

lateral-direction permeability and performance of liquid filtration media backers with respect to flow and compression.

Mechanical Engineer/Product Design Intern — ECCO Design Inc., New York, New York June 2012 – August 2012

Digitized and redesigned all mechanical hardware and fabrication data for a manufacturer of photo booths

Supported Industrial Design oriented programs, including new product conceptual investigations for clients

Navigated design constraints through mechanical adaptations.

Designed common parts, between four current products, to simplify fabrication and reduce costs
