Josh Vernier to become Royals Insider for 610 Sports Radio – KCSP Kansas City – Josh Vernier, former host of The Big Show for 610 Sports Radio, has taken a new position in collaboration with the Kansas City Royals. Vernier will now be 610 Sports’ Kansas City Royals Insider, focusing on anything and everything Royals baseball. Josh Vernier had served as the host of The Big Show after coming to KCSP from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Sports Radio 1250 – WSSP. Vernier covered the Milwaukee Brewers extensively and also hosted “The Big Show” at WSSP. Josh Vernier will still appear on-air regularly for 610 Sports, but not as a scheduled personality. His responsibilities will shift toward covering all Royals games, hosting the Country Mart On-Deck show and any other Royals pre/post material. Josh Vernier will replace former Kansas City Royals Insider Robert Ford. 610 Sports Radio took to Facebook on Monday, April 1st to announce the change: “Congrats Josh Vernier, our new 610 Sports Radio Royals Insider. Catch him today at 2pm for the Country Mart On Deck Show. He won't be able to do The Big Show, too, so we'll have more on that later this week. Stay tuned! Share this with your friends, in case they weren't able to hear the announcement. Maybe they were working or something.”
