1. We just learned a new topic, conformity. This topic is far more interesting than what I

expected. I never know before about this kind of things, I never even think about this kind of

things, and not even interested in this kind of things before.

I never know that in conformity, obedience is also included. To have a conformity,

you need obedience, with obedience you will attain conformity with others. And not just that,

this topic also includes our behavior in a group, like the effect when people are less likely to

help when in groups than when alone, group productivity, group size, etc.

When you have negative effects when in groups, you also have positive effects when

you are in groups. Reduction of effort is one of the positive effects you will get when you are

in groups, you will also have more ways of thinking, more opinions, more talents, more skills,

etc.

2. Attraction and close relationships is latest topic that we learned, we learned about

what increases liking, like proximity, familiarity and similarity. Proximity, is the distance

between two individuals, their choice of relationships, etc. Familiarity, is the relationship you

currently have with a certain individual, and not just that, similarity also covers other

concepts.

Propinquity, similarity and reciprocal liking are the three things that lie underneath the

concept of familiarity. Propinquity means how often we see a certain individual, an individual

that we often see, become familiar through mere exposure. Next is similarity, similarity

means the similarity a certain individual have, people who are similar to us will also seemed

familiar to us. Similarity of attitudes also included in this concept, pre-acquainted attitudes

become more attractive. Finally Reciprocal liking, reciprocal liking means people who like

each other get to know and become familiar with each other.

Relationship is of course, included in this topic. Relationships in this topic viewed as

a social exchange. People’s feelings about relationships depend on the perceptions of reward

and cost, etc. We all learned these things in the psychology class, we learned a lot of new

things that we never knew about before and I am sure that these things will be useful in the

future.
