Powder metallurgy is the process of blending fine powdered materials, pressing them into a desired shape or form and then heating the compressed material in a controlled atmosphere to bond the material. Mining is the extraction of valuable minerals or other geological materials from the earth, from an ore body, vein or (coal) seam. The journal provides an open access platform for advance research and education in the field of powder metallurgy & mining which involves creating new materials by blending fine powdered materials with the extracted valuable minerals.
