Event Cancellation PolicyRegularly Scheduled EventsHealthwise Connection supper clubs, lectures, fitness classes, blood pressure clinics, etc.All regularly scheduled events will be canceled whenever schools in the same community are canceled due to inclement weather or disaster and refunds will be granted. Fitness classes will not meet on legal holidays. If events are canceled for any other reason, we will attempt to contact anyone who has made a reservation for the event.

Special EventsBus Trips, Holiday Extravaganza, etc.You will be informed if a bus trip or other special event for which you have purchased a ticket is canceled. Bus trips are generally not canceled for weather unless the State Highway Patrol closes the highways. Mammogram Screening by ANGELsThe ANGEL Network mission is to reduce the number of deaths within the African American female population by offering early-detection programs, access to screening and empowering African American women on breast health practices so that they will take an active part in their own health care. South Pointe Hospital provides free or low cost mammograms. For more information, call 216.491.7827.

Huron Hospital

Mammogram Mondays (through Fridays)This grant-funded program provides free mammogram screenings for qualified women with no insurance. The program is for women 40 years of age and older; there is no age restriction for women with a family history of breast cancer. Sponsored by Huron Hospital in partnership with The National Breast Cancer Foundation and Colgate Palmolive.

Simply obtain a mammogram order from your physician and contact scheduling at 216.636.8000 (Monday thru Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.). Explain that you’re calling about “Mammogram Mondays.” If you do not have a physician, call 216.761.7684 for more information.
