Faith Life SUNDAY, AUGUST 11, 2019

Good morning, dear siblings in Christ. Please turn to your neighbors and welcome on another to this holy place and time.

We hope you’ll join us following worship for beverages, snacks, and fellowship.

FAITH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF EMMAUS 3002 N. Second Street - PO Box 507 - Emmaus, PA 18049

610-967-5600—[email protected] Visit us on the web! www.faithchurchemmaus.org

ARE YOU NEW TO FAITH CHURCH? If this is your first time in worship with us here at Faith Church,

welcome! We want to get to know you, so be sure to sign the friendship registry, which can be found at one end of the pew.

BEAUTIFICATION DAY On Saturday, August 24th, we will have a beautification day at Dodd Elementary school! This will be a great event to partner with another Allentown elementary school to help get the grounds ready for the kids to go back to school! We are looking for volunteers to help us in 2 shifts: morning (8:00 am-noon) and afternoon (noon-4:00 pm). We will be working alongside teacher and parent volunteers from the school. We will have a lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers to take a break and build relationships with friends. Please bring your shovels, rakes, gardening gloves, and wheel barrows. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex, on the coffee table.

SCRIP ORDERS DUE TODAY With the few new participants, we’ve raised a total of $253.35 so far this year. Way to go scrip shoppers! If the trend continues, we should beat 2018’s funds. It’s easy, costs nothing, and only requires advance planning. The funds are replenishing the pastor’s discretionary fund. Can we get anyone else to hop on the bandwagon?

CONSIGN FOR GOOD Kids will soon be in school and we will have LOTS of inexpensive items to start them off right! As you go through your children’s clothes, consider donating the best items to consign for Good. The full amount of donated items sold helps support East Penn Neighbors Helping Neighbors. Contact the church office or JoAnne Herring to drop off your items. For more information, visit www.consignforgood.org.
