How does Tatt2Away® work?

Tatt2Away involves a revolutionary new treatment called Trans Epidermal Pigment Release (TEPR). After light abrasion of the skin, a safe proprietary fluid is injected into the tattoo pigment. The fluid breaks down the ink or pigment and a scab forms over the treated area. When the scab falls away, the pigment comes with it, leaving clear pink skin to heal.

So What’s Wrong with Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser removal of tattoos has health risks associated with the types of ingredients used in manufacturing a pigment color. When exposed to laser light tattoo pigment molecules are literally exploded into smaller pieces. In this process, tremendous heat is generated and both effects can cause changes in the pigment composition, allowing the release of certain chemicals.

Depending on the source of the pigment and the additives used by the tattoo artist, chemicals can be released that have been judged potentially dangerous to health.

Fragments of pigment broken up by a laser are disposed of by the body’s own clean up mechanism – the lymph nodes and liver. There has been some concern amongst the scientific community that these by products could cause health problems later in life.

In comparison, Tatt2Away involves non-laser tattoo removal that uses the body’s own natural healing processes to safely remove the tattoo pigments, without ever releasing them into the body.

Tattoo pigment is inert and not recognized by the body as a foreign substance. That is why it is not rejected by the body and why it is permanent.

What kind of tattoos can be removed?

All kinds of tattoo can be removed, including whole tattoos, parts of a tattoo, clearing an area for replacement artwork, disguising a previous cover-up, or re-shaping eyebrows or lip color tattoos.

Tatt2Away REMOVES ALL COLORS. It is effective on most skin types, and is fast, safe, affordable and

can be largely pain free.

How many treatments are needed?

Generally, the average sized tattoo requires between 4-5 treatments. This depends on a variety of factors, including skin type, the age of the tattoo, your age, amount of pigment or ink, the location of the tattoo, and history of other attempts to remove the tattoo.

How long will it take to remove a tattoo?

Each treatment session lasts 30 minutes to an hour. An 8 week period is necessary between treatments to allow the skin time to heal.

For example, a tattoo requiring four treatments will take a minimum of 32 weeks to remove.

Does it hurt?

Most clients have said that it is comparable to getting the original tattoo or less. Some have found it to be annoying, or experience an occasional jab of pain. Generally, the closer to the bone, the more sensitive it will be.
