The Joint Programming Initiative Healthy and Productive Seas and Oceans (JPI Oceans) is a coordinating platform, open to all EU Member States and Associated Countries.

Vision: Enabling the transformation to a sustainable blue economy whilst fostering the health

and productivity of seas and oceans.

Mission: Facilitating the efficient provision of expert knowledge and innovative solutions to

enable informed policy delivery and economic development ensuring sustainably healthy and

productive seas and oceans.

JPI Oceans Beyond 2020: Stakeholder Webinar

The webinar will be the prelude to the online feedback which will be a crucial element to engage

the wider community in the development of the new strategy framework of JPI Oceans. The

revised strategy aims to provide a framework and direction that will allow JPI Oceans to add

value to national research and innovation efforts, to address European science and policy

ambitions, and to contribute to global marine and maritime agendas.

Through an online survey, as a stakeholder of JPI Oceans and its R&I output, you will have

the opportunity to share with us your comments and suggestions on the role of JPI Oceans,

research and innovation priorities and potential for Joint Actions and collaborations. To provide

you with a comprehensive overview of the state of play, the draft Strategy Framework will be

published and the survey opened one week before the webinar.

The feedback received through the survey will be analysed and consolidated by the JPI Oceans

secretariat. The analysis, alongside input from parallel national consultations, will be brought

forward in an enriched version of the Strategy Framework that will be tabled for adoption by the

JPI Oceans Management Board in autumn 2020.
