Volume 18 February 28, 2020 PJH Wrestlers Take MCEL Championship in Ellis Well, they did it again! Our wrestling team won the MCEL tournament in Ellis last Thursday in decisive fashion. Way to go, Panthers!! You had an awesome season!! Photos by Layton Johnson YEC Students Win Big YEC students have been working on their businesses since January. They had to create a detailed business plan, a tradeshow, and a four -minute presentation. They presented to the judges at the high school yesterday. Gabby Poels won the contest with her "Jabby Jerby" business idea! She made jerky and brought four dierent flavors for the judges. She won $500 plus $50 for having the best four -minute presentation. She will compete at state on April 28 at Kansas State University. Elli Velardes, Layton Wyatt, and Hallie Jerby earned 5th place with their "Giant Gummy Gang" business and won a $50 cash prize. Hero Essay Winners

8th graders Louis Bohl and Cara Wenzl were this year's "My Hero" Essay contest winners. Louis wrote about his dad, and Cara wrote about her sister, August. Dan Klinger from the Phillips County Christian Foundation presented them each with an iPad, a cover, and an iTunes gift card. Good job, guys!
