Details of the trainer Rianne is a passionate and dynamic Middle School English teacher who is

well loved by all the students she mentors. Her key skill lies in helping

students to develop their written and oral presentation skills. She has

ten years of varied teaching experience and this is her fifth year at

JSSPS, Dubai. She is a known face around the school and is focused

helping the students to find their voice and become confident as well as

articulate thinkers and speakers.

Benefits of the activity to the students “ Speechify” classes will provide a significant training ground for the

development of students' abilities and confidence with regard to public

speaking. One of the biggest fears students face is speaking in public.

While public speaking can be a nerve-wracking experience, it is an

essential skill which requires cultivation and practice. Students who

learn to effectively speak in public are not afraid of taking leadership

roles, and grow in confidence and self-esteem.

Name of the trainer Marian Fowler Jordan

Details of the trainer: Having completed her Bachelor in Education from Kolkata, in India,

Marian has been passionate about teaching the middle school students,

and has not lost an ounce of that passion till date; she has been in the

profession for the past 8 years now. She joined the JSS family in

September 2016 after a short stint of 18 months at the Wafi Group

as ‘English cum soft skills trainer’. She loves children, and keeps their

success at the core of her heart which acts as an impetus for her to

work for their betterment in everything she does for them, including

the designing of the activity on offer.

Benefits of the activity to the students It is a program for the holistic personality development of children and

youth. The program fosters positivity and self-confidence; develops

inner resilience and independence in the face of change; increases

efficiency and effectiveness in completing tasks both at home and at

school and, last but not the least, it awakens the leader within.

Details of the trainer Sangita is a Hindi Teacher in middle school at JSSPS since 2012. She

is naturally passionate about cooking and likes to explore new, easy,

nutritious, innovative dishes which children would relish.

She is keen to develop children’s interest in cooking while taking care

of their safety.

She is also particular to ensure that proper hygiene is maintained

during the class.

Benefits of the activity to the students Grub Tube has been specially introduced for children to make them

independent and to manage when mom’s are not around. It will also help

them to be more organized and neat . Children will be trained and to

be more self-reliant.

They will be more than happy to prepare and eat their own creations.

Lakshmi is a trained Zumba and Reebok fitness instructor. She leads, trains &

motivates learners in exercise activities including cardiovascular, strength

training, and Pilates.

Benefits of the activity to the students

Obesity, being a major problem among children is also a matter of concern for

parents. Physical activities like aerobics not only helps children to be physically

fit but also makes them build a stronger self-esteem. This not only helps

children concentrate on their academics, but also improves their memory and

JSS PS. She has done a calligraphy course in Loreto College, Kolkata.

She is excited to impart this skill to her students. She has written

Benefits of the activity to the students Students can create their beautiful calligraphy and impress everyone

with their gorgeous handwriting. They will be able to use this art to

write their projects, certificates, cards etc. It will also help them to

improve their handwriting and finally it will also help them to appreciate

beauty, find beauty and create beauty.

Name of the trainer Julia Abbas

Details of the trainer Julia is qualified as a Master of Physical Education, swimming coach

Siberian state Academy of Physical Culture, Russia Omsk. She has be

teaching swimming since the past 20 years. She is a participant of

swimming competition on federal level and is also a swimming referee. She

was has 8 years experience in aquatic risk management under She was Ellis

& Associates licensed beach and lifeguard instructor at Wild Wadi Water

park, having 8 years of experience in aquatic risk management (water

rescues, First Aid, CPR). She is currently employed at JSS PS.

Benefits of the activity to the students Swimming is a healthy activity that you can continue for a lifetime. It is a

low-impact sport that has many physical and mental health benefits.

Participants can develop endurance, muscle strength, improve coordination,

balance, and cardiovascular fitness, alleviate stress and have fun.

Details of the trainer: Chitra Shergill is bio-medical Engineer by profession , an avid marathon runner .

She started her journey with photography after her kids, She pursues her

passion for Travel Photography with Photowalk Dubai Travel Tours.

Her recent work was featured on the cover page of the Times Australia

Magazine and she is now a regular contributor for their travel magazine.

She started the Nikon Kids Photo Club in UAE in partnership with Nikon

MiddleEast , A Photography Club teaching children from age group 6-16 year

basics of Photography and currently They are conducting Filmmaking and

Photography Bootcamp in across many Schools in UAE.

Recently Nikon Kids Photo Club have tied up with Dubai Autism Centre for

Photography workshop for the Autistic Children .

Currently, Chitra is working on her untitled book on photography for children.

Communication Engineering stream. With 7 years of teaching experience. He is a

simple way and make kids understand the basics easily.

Benefits of the activity to the students

It is a STEM program that improves the logic and thought process of the kids. It

gives them a basic idea on Electronic components and sound knowledge in coding.

Robo kit is designed for children aged 8 and over, and is based on a series of robot

kits, each with a different skill level; beginner, intermediate, advanced and

Professional.

The Programming is done with Rogic- a user friendly programming tool. It uses a

graphical user interface to allow beginners to easily learn how to program and control

a robot using various control statements and develop advanced programs which use

function calls. It focuses on technical aspects of sensors, electricity, machinery and

computer technology rather than an assembly alone.

During the process, students strengthen their creativity and understanding of

robotics while working with safe circuit modules that do not require any soldering to

assemble.

unique style. He is currently the Head of the Sports Department at JSS PS.

Mukesh is a friendly and energetic sports teacher who is very popular with the

students. He has seven years of varied coaching experience. He is a dedicated

teacher with the innate talent to assist students become confident , and to

play more competitive sports. He is a sports teacher at JSS PS.

represented District Level Sports meet in Karnataka State. He has been training students

in Badminton since 2000. He is currently a PE teacher at JSS PS.

Benefits of the activity to the students Badminton improves muscle tone, playing badminton builds and tones the quads, glutes,

calves and hamstrings. In addition, the core muscles, arm and back muscles get a

workout as well. It is also known to promote physical fitness, and it helps to reduce

confidence as well as flexibility, body strength, increases concentration

level, self defense and it will help them to face emotional and physical

problems.

Details of the trainer Students will be introduced to the basics of one of the most ancient art forms of INDIA. [BHARATA

NATYAM] BY : Mrs. Rajeshwari Damania.

She is a Post graduated from Mumbai University in Fine Arts (Bharata Natyam) with honours and is

teaching classical and folk dance to aspiring professionals for more than 2 decades.

Since Sep 2014 till date she is working as a HOD (dance) at JSS Pvt. School, Al Safa, Dubai. In

her short tenure of 3 years in UAE, her choreography skills have made it to Gulf newspapers and the

school has qualified for the finals of prestigious RANGOLI GULF season 5&6 with outstanding

comments for the jury, she has also successfully presented a dance recital depicting “how

mathematical concepts can be taught thru dance” at “What Works” organized by KHDA, Dubai.

Before joining JSSPS her work experience in India has been remarkable, she was at Jamnabai

Narsee School Juhu as a full time Secondary section dance teacher were she Introduced Dance as an

optional subject for I.C.S.E. board exam but was also teaching Bharat Natyam certified course [to

evening class students] at Padmashree Dr. Kanak Rele’s “Nalanda Dance Research Centre” teaching

affiliated to Mumbai University.She had the rare honour of choreographing dances for welcoming ex-

President of India, eminent scientist & Bharat Ratna, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Bollywood actor

Shri Salman Khan. She has also worked with renowned personalities like Padmashree Dr. Smt. Kanak

Rele, acclaimed flute maestro, Padma Vibhushan, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Louis Banks, Sandeep

Soparkar and Aslee Lobo to name a few. Has liaisioning with different Fine Arts teachers,

Departmental Heads & Event Management professionals like Wizcraft. She has performed all over

inauguration of Delhi Doordarshan has been featured in various documentaries on classical dance

Vinodh has been teaching Bollywood dance for the past 28 years. Dance styles

shows in Middle East and All over India and won more than 250 awards in state

level in India /Middle East. He was a finalist in 2013 India Got Talent.

TERMS and CONDITIONS – Kindly go through the same before signing up.

The ASA at JSS PS is an optional program. Children are free to opt for the program of their choice.

Enrollment in more than one activity is allowed, provided the days of the programs do not clash.

Students have to enroll by the registration date mentioned by the school for the particular cycle.

Enrollments during the middle of the program will not be encouraged, however if the student enrolls late he/she will have to pay the enrollment fee for the

entire 10 classes ( grade 1 to 9) or 5 classes for (KG2) as applicable.

No transfer to other program will be allowed once the activity is selected, it must be completed.

Enrollments done in between the cycle will have to be authorized by the trainer to ensure that the student does not miss out on the course content.

Students are requested to be present for all the 10 classes. If for any reason the student is absent the trainer is not responsible to make up for the sessions

missed by the student, nor will any fees be refunded to the student.

If for any reason the class is cancelled by the school/trainer, it will be the responsibility of the school to ensure that the class is made up to the student.

Parents are requested to encourage their child to carry the required materials for the activity. Course content cannot be redone as a result of the negligence

of not having the required materials for the activity.

Kindly provide your child with required snacks, water and change of clothes to keep him/her comfortable in the activity.

Transportation will be provided by the school after the activity. If your child travels home with the parent, kindly do inform the school accordingly.

Students of the KG2 section will be picked up by the trainers as soon as the class concludes. The trainers are responsible and will have a full time staff to take

care of the comfort levels of the students. Students will disperse at 2.00 p.m. from school.

All students will be dropped to their busses at the conclusion of the activity by the trainer in charge.

Kindly note that a particular program will be conducted only if the minimum number of students for that particular activity have been obtained . If the program

is not being conducted because of lack of enrolments the school will inform the parent accordingly and the student will be allowed to opt into another program

or the money will be reimbursed to the parent.
