1. Get Started Starting the program
Install J-Trader 8.0 client application on your desktop.Double click J-trader icon, The program will start the J-trader login screen is displayed.
Config To configure, click settings the network settings window appears.

2. Login To login the J-trader 8.0 Enter user name & password to log in.

How to change the password ;
1. click dialog box appears 2. Enter your new password in both the new password and confirm fields. 3. click ok
3. J-Trader Screen
When you have successfully logged on to J-trader and opened a trading windows, as expalained in Logging In to J-Trader, you have different screens :
Main Screen
The main screen of J-Trader, from where you can select windows, configure J-Trader appearance and behaviour, log off and more.
Fields explanation
Default desktop Lists the desktop available, with the currently selected desktop highlighted in yellow
About Gives J-Trader installation information, such version & buid number
Settings Gives a screen for configuring
Exit Closes J-Trader Host Traffic lights indicating the connection status of the host Price feed Indicating price feed
Green = connected Yellow = connecting Grey = disconnected
Links Opens links to customer defined websites Tools Gives a menu for displaying orders in a ticker style layout, creating
Calculating strategies, listings orders, & submitting multiple orders To exchanges in a bath file

Screen for checking your server connections.

Screen for connection messages, alerts and request for quotes (RFQs)

Fields Explanation Display tab
Colours used different kinds of price and indicating price changes The display of fractions/decimals Miscellaneous display settings The default font to be used for all screens Which screens you want to appear in front of others.
General tab

When you have made your changes, remember to click apply (save and keep window open), ok (save and close window) or cancel (quit without saving changes).
5. Window trading screen Before you start trading open a window trading from main screen click New button to appear new window ;
The display new window :
Select the tab you want to trade from, you can select any tab with a trade button. Tab Explanation Hot quotes a screen from where you can trade multiple instruments, including strategies, you
can view market depth by: Double clicking on contract Click reflector, which opens a reflector screen.
Matrix A screen for trading calendar spreads Status This screen is like an order book: you use it to check the status of all orders
(working & filled) in the currently selected account Position To View the overall position & margins for a trader account Reports To view all transaction a trader account Accounts To view the various account field dropdown list, & specifying by default account.
6. Hot quotes To trade using the hot quotes screen, select the contract you want to trade ;
Adding new contract Click add to expand product you want to show that given from the exchange .
Click will show (All>ICDX>Product>Contracts) and to collapse it. Select the items you want by double clicking. You can also select highlighted items by pressing the spacebar. To remove a contract, highlight it then click remove, up or down.
Configuring Hot quotes screen
Change the display font click the rigt side button

When you have made your changes, remember to click apply (save and keep window open), ok (save and close window) or cancel (quit without saving changes).
Hot quotes coloumns
Right click in the grid of the hot quotes screen and click on select coloumns to choose from the following coloumns; Field Explanation Bid price Bid volume
The price coloumns are: Best bid in the market
Offer price Offer volume Last trade price Last tradees volume
Best offer in the market Last traded price : price of the last trade for this contract The volume coloumns are the aggregated volumes for the bid price,offer
price,last traded price respectively Low price High price
Lowest/highest prices
Opening price Initial price of this instrument at the start of current trading day or trading session
Closing price final price of this instrument at the start of current trading day or trading session
Total traded volume Aggregated volumes of all trades during current trading day or trading session
Change (last closing) Difference between the previous day’s closing price & last traded price Contract status Status of the exchange,(normal, suspended, closed, pre-open) fast-market Position How long or short the position is in a particular contract month Settlement Yesterday’s daily settlement price
Trading Matrix screen You can trade calendar spreads in J-Trader, you matrix screen, In trading window select matrix tab, click commodity (bottom left corner) to choose the exchange and the instrument, click contracts to select the contract dates

8. Viewing status To view all activity trading we can see in status screen
Amend an order
Recap Block orders you want to recap then click Recap button & will appear new window recap
Press button print to print all data, or save to file (press export or csv export button)
9. Position

Trading reflectors The reflector is a price ladder screen from which you can trade the full depth of market for a contract, including inside prices(price without volume that are between the bid and offer) to trade with reflector.
