OBJECTIVES

• To develop and evaluate dynamic induction welding for thermoplastic fuselage in a low cost and high speed context.

• The final demonstrator integrates the geometric complexities representative of a fuselage panel.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF COMPOSITESFACT PROJECT

OBJECTIVES

• Evaluation of two additive manufacturingtechnologies, laser sintering of powder material(LS) and material extrusion (FFF, FDM), appliedto high temperature polymers out of the groupsof PAEKs, especially PEEK (for FFF) and PEKK (forLS and FFF) with and without carbon fiberreinforcement.

STRUCTURE & HEALTH MONITORING FOR RENEWABLE ENERGYSHORE PROJECT

• To identify the optimal monitoring for assessingthe state of health of welded mechanicalstructures and loosening of bolted connections,e.g. loss of pretension in offshore turbines.
