UsE anD maInTEnanCE InsTrUCTIOnsThe Juliet-PK Joystick Station is an electromechanical device for low voltage control circuits (EN 60947-1, EN 60947-5-1) for use as electric equipment on machines (EN 60204-1) in compliance with the essential requisites of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/UE and the Machine Directive 2006/42/CE.

TheJuliet-PKjoystickstationisdesignedforuseinindustrialenvironmentswithevenverysevereclimaticconditions(workingtemperaturesfrom–25°Cto+70°Candissuitableforuseintropicalenvironments).Theequipmentisnotsuitableforuseinenvironmentswithapotentiallyexplosiveatmosphere,inthepresenceofcorrosiveagentsorhighpercentageofsodiumchloride(salinemist).Contactwithoil,acidsandsolventsmaydamagetheequipment;avoidusingthemforcleaning.

Theswitches(14,15)*aredesignedfortheauxiliarycontrolofcontactsorelectromagneticchargesingeneral(utilisationcategoryAC-15inaccordancewithEN60947-5-1).Donotconnectmorethanonephaseforeachswitch(14,15).Donotoilorgreasethecontrolelements(1,2,10,27,29,31)ortheswitches(14,15).

TheJuliet-PKjoystickstationshouldbeinstalledbycompetent,trainedpersonnel.Theelectricwiringmustbedoneinaworkmanlikemannerincompliancewiththeregulationsinforce.

Beforeperforminginstallationandmaintenanceofthejoystickstation,disconnectthemachinefromthepowermains.

Operations for correct installation of the joystick station- Openthejoystickstationbyunscrewingthebottomcover(17).- Cuttherubbercablesleevewithvariablecross-section(23)andinsertthemulti-polecablesoastoguaranteeadequateinterferenceandpreventpenetrationofwaterand/ordust.- Fastenthemulti-polecabletothesleeve(23)usingacable

tie(notsupplied).- Stripthemulti-polecableforalengthsufficientforelectricalconnectionwiththeswitches(14,15).- Tapetheinitialstrippedpartofthecable.- Fastenthespecialwireclampstothemulti-polecablesoastopreventthepossibilityofexternaltractionontheconnections.- Connectthewirestotheswitches(14,15)inaccordancewiththecontactdiagramshownontheswitches(tightentheterminalscrewswithatorqueof0.6Nm;insertabilityofwiresintotheterminals1x2,5mm2-2x1,5mm2)(UL-(c)UL:use60or75°Ccopper(CU)conductor).- Closethecontrolunitwithattentiontocorrectpositioningoftherubber(19)assembledintheenclosure(9).

Operations of routine maintenance- Checkthecorrecttighteningofthescrews(16)ontheenclosure(9,17).- Checkthecorrecttighteningofthescrewsontheswitchterminals(14,15).- Checktheconditionsofthewiring(inparticularinthepointswheretheyarefastened/tightenedontheswitches).- Checktheconditionsoftherubber(19)assembledinthejoystickstationenclosure(17),therubberonthecontrollersandcablesleeve(24).- Checktheconditionsoftheplasticenclosureofthejoystickstation(9,17).

Anychangetopartsofthejoystickstationwillinvalidatetheratingplatedataandidentificationofthedevice,andrenderthewarrantynullandvoid.Incaseofreplacementofanypart,useonlyoriginalreplacements.

TERisnotliablefordamagescausedbyimproperuseofthedeviceandinstallationwhichisnotmadecorrectly.
