Vacation Bible Camp - Thank You! If you see a strand or two of straw floating around the school, it is remnant of all
the fun had in the Barnyard at Vacation Bible Camp held the week of June 19-23.
The campers, known as the Lord's Little Lambs, Devoted Ducks, Courageous Cows,
Cowboys in Christ, Graceful Goats and Faithful Farmers, learned all about Psalm
23, as well as the fact that Jesus Cares, now and forever. Jesus provides, now
and forever. Jesus leads, now and forever. Jesus forgives now and forever and
Jesus is our Savior, now and forever! They had fun visiting the Udderly Cool Crafts,
Bountiful Blessings Snacks, Barn Raising Storytelling, Green Pastures Bible
Challenge and Bales of Fun Games. The campers also donated food to the
Summer Food Program. It takes many volunteers to help make VBC a success. A
big thanks goes out to all the adults and teens that volunteered their time, talent
and treasure to help evangelize our young campers. Thanks to all the parents and
grandparents for allowing their children the opportunity to experience VBC. Thanks
to parishioners for supporting the program. Thanks to our young campers for your
fantastic attitudes. We had a GREAT week!
Save the date for next year: June 18-22, 2018!
If anyone is interested in serving on the VBC planning committee or would like to
provide feedback from the week, please contact Amy Tonges at
[email protected] or 812-934-3204.
St. Louis Festival News
Festival Sign Up Weekends Mark your calendar for July 22 & 23 and July 29 & 30. Please plan on attending
one of these times to sign up to work at our parish festival. Help is needed setting
up tents, making Turtle Soup the week before the festival, workers for the day of
the festival, and clean up and take down after the festival. Please pick up your
raffle tickets at this time to help cut our mailing cost.
Chairpersons Needed We are in need of volunteers to chair the $100 Wheel and Bingo. If you can help
with either of these games, please call Nikki Hutchinson at 574-299-6515.
Bushels of Baskets The basket booth needs your help! Donations of items for baskets are currently
being accepted. If you don’t have a basket for your items, you can stop by the par-
ish office to pick up a basket or we can put them in a basket for you.
Plant Stand The Plant Stand is in need of pots of all sizes, plants and lawn decorations for their
booth. Clay pots are great if anyone has some to spare. Pots can be dropped off
on the front porch of the parish office. If you have any plants at home getting too
big for the pot they are in, consider splitting them and donating them to the plant
stand. Plants are not needed until the Festival.
