Chamber News
Congratulations to the winners of Where Is This… In Madison County? from the June
newsletter: Adam Busse from Classic Equine Equipment and Carol Magnus from the Foun-
dation for Historical Preservation. They were the first to correctly guess: A. Paul Vance
Fredericktown Regional Airport as the location of the picture. For your chance to win, look
through each month’s newsletter and find the picture with the heading “Where Is This
… In Madison County?” If you are one of the first three to correctly answer by email,
you will receive a free Chamber Luncheon ticket to the same month’s chamber luncheon.
Join the Madison County Chamber of Commerce
and Celebrate Independence Day in Azalea Park.
Activities will include Champion Anvil Shooter
Gay Wilkinson launching an anvil to start the cele-
bration, followed by an All Scout presentation of
the flag and singing of the National Anthem. There
will also be multiple businesses and organizations
setup in the park with games and activities for all.
The Big River Volunteers Missouri State Guard
will also be on hand with a full civil war encamp-
ment with skirmishes and black powder shoots
happening through out the day. Don’t forget to
stop by the Chamber of Commerce booth to purchase your $3 bracelet that allows for unlimited rides
on the water slide, or stop by the dunk tank for your opportunity to dunk members of the community
including Mayor Korokis. After all the fun and games when the sun goes down it’s time for the fire-
works. We’d like to extend a big Thank You to all our sponsors that made this possible including the
City of Fredericktown, Barefoot Village Fireworks, Cap America, Versa Tech, Cherokee Pass Mo-
bile, Great Southern Bank, Madison Medical Center and Ozarks Federal Savings and many more.
Also a big Thank you to the Cherokee Pass Fire Dept. for setting off our fireworks display.

The Madison County Extension
Council is sponsoring a Coupon-
ing Class on July 17th from 6 to 8
pm. The instructor will be Amy
Woodall who has appeared on
Extreme Couponing. Amy has
been a couponer for 3 years. It all started when her husband
became ill and could not work. Amy, at the time, was work-
ing part time. After seeing someone on television save $17
with coupons, Amy decided that she could also do that. Af-
ter many hours of researching, she started coupon in June of
2009 and has not looked back. According to Amy: “We are
a family of six (that includes 2 teenage boys!!), and I spend
an average of $200 a month on groceries, health and beauty
items and paper items. This didn't happen overnight but with
sticking with couponing it finally did happen. I do have a
small stockpile nothing huge, but it is enough that if some-
thing tragic happens we wouldn't have to worry about food
for 2 or 3 months.” Join us for our Coupon Class and learn
all the ins and outs of couponing. For more information or
to register, please call the Madison County Extension
Center at 783-3303. Our programs are open to all.
I’d like to say a big thank you to Cap-
tain Eric Hovis with the Frederick-
town Police Department. Captain Hovis
was gracious enough to take the time
out of his busy schedule to fill in for
our guest speaker at our June Lunch-
eon. So from everyone at the Chamber
of Commerce Thank You very much .
You are doing a great job and we ap-
preciate everything you do!

Meet the New Chamber Director
Hello everyone, my name is Kyle Wright and I am the new Chamber Di-
rector. I enjoy long walks on the beach and …… oh wait I guess that’s
not really what I’m supposed to put here. I’ve lived in Fredericktown
for about six years now, and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I’m
married to Veronika Wright and we have two little boys, Keiden (7) and
Garret (3). I’ve been heavily involved in the community for the last cou-
ple of years including being a member of the Fredericktown Revitaliza-
tion Initiative, serving on the Arts and Tourism committee, coaching baseball and soccer and most re-
cently serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission. I’m really excited about working for the com-
munity and striving to make it the place where people can raise a family and take pride in where they
are from. I think we can do this by taking the Chamber back to its roots of being a community organiza-
tion that’s based on community involvement. We need everyone to work together! We have multiple or-
ganizations all working towards the same goals, but they aren’t working together. So everyone be pre-
pared because you’re going to start seeing a lot of me. I’m going to make it a point to get out and com-
