NAC is proud to continue sponsoring a series of six week solo exhibits, curated by Kate Kelly, at

the Wine Cellar on Main, 70 Main Street, Northport, NY. The Summer Arts Festival, in its 47th year of bringing top performing arts

talent to Huntingtonopened on June 22 and will run through August 11 with an exciting musical

and dance performance roster that includes local, national and international artists. Presented by

the Town of Huntingtonand produced by the Huntington Arts Council, the festival offers a high

caliber musical journey that is indicative of today's global music scene that extends beyond

borders. All performances are held on the Chapin Rainbow Stage in Heckscher

Park,Huntington, at 8:30 p.m. (with an 8:00 p.m. performance on June 30) and Tuesday Family

Celeste Mauro will have a solo exhibit entitled “Summer Light” at The Firefly

Artists during the month of July. A collection of watercolors, collages and digital

images that capture the special quality of summer light will be on display in the

storefront window and gallery. Artist’s Reception: 7-9pm, Friday, July 6. The

David Jaycox, Jr. exhibits his watercolor painting, “Fleet at Rest” in the Huntington Arts Council’s 2012 Annual

Please visit the Northport Library in September to experience local artist, Greg Oleanik, and his impressionist

oil paintings. Greg studied at the Art Students League of Manhattan and is strongly influenced by

impressionists Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir and John Singer Sargent.

Greg lives in Northport and owns Red Lion Painting Company. He provides decorative, faux, and murals, as

well as traditional painting.

June 19-July 30: John Ellsworth's photos are on exhibit at the newly opened "Wine Cellar

on Main," 70 Main Street, Northport. His work includes time-tested and new images

dealing with water, shorelines, watercraft, and reflections. All works are printed on

canvas and are for sale.

Ongoing: John Ellsworth's "signature" Northport photos are on display at Wilkes gallery,

91 Main Street, Northport. Each piece includes subject matter that distinctively identifies

the image as being in Northport. New images will be added on a recurring basis.

The June 2012 issue of "Village Connection" featured John Ellsworth's photography on the cover and in the

center-spread, "Local Exposure." The piece included an article about John by Elise Pearlman.
