Off the desk Rick Pearce President/CEO

In mid-June, we welcomed our new Director of Communications &

Member Services, Adam Marcum. Adam is a recent graduate from

Miami University and a native of Fairfield. We look forward to Adam

joining our team and utilizing his skills to expand our brand and

reach to our members. You can read more about Adam below.

Thank you to all who sponsored this year’s Chamber Golf Outing.

We had a perfect day and everyone had a great time and one play-

er had a perfect shot. Don Horn hit a hole-in-one on #15 and will receive a set of irons from

Taylor Made. Special thanks goes out to Barney Riesbeck (State Farm) who sponsored the

hole-in-one contest.

You may also notice a new section in this edition, Our Focus Areas (Advocacy/Government

Relations, Education/Career Path, Leadership/Influence, and Regional Business Catalyst), which

we will use to keep you updated. Each Task Force is excited about what they have done and

where they are going. There is a great deal of positive momentum and excitement surrounding

each area.

Below are some quick reminders to add to your calendar:

All American Expo - Thursday, August 18 at Miami University’s Middletown Campus

Steak Fry - Thursday, September 8 at MillerCoors

welcome aboard Adam Marcum Director of Communications and Member Services

I am beyond excited to join the Chamber and apply my

experiences to a new role. As Rick mentioned, I recently graduated

from Miami, where I received my bachelor’s degree in strategic

communication with a minor in entrepreneurship. Previously, I

worked with the Hamilton Community Foundation and Miami

University’s News and Communications department, as well as in

various healthcare roles over the years. I have a passion for people

and community, and am looking forward to meeting all of you in the

coming months.

This Task Force is determining The Chamber’s role in the economic development process.

The Leadership Task Force is working to enhance the Leadership Program for 2016 – 17 and will

accept registrations for the new class in mid-July. The program will begin Tuesday, September

20, 2016 with classes from 8am-5pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
