The Aberdeen Meadows Harp is made to be large - large in both voice and stature. The string action of the Aberdeen is designed to support very light touch, with subtlety and color, while still rising to full voice allowing for a comprehensive dynamic range. This harp is an impressive performance instrument. The Aberdeen comes standard with full concert quality Rees sharping levers. (Truitt or Camac levers can be special ordered for $18 per lever. Camacs cannot be installed on double harps.) The Aberdeen also has a narrow 3 1/2” rounded shoulder providing comfort and ease of play. Unique to Rees Harps, the Aberdeen can be ordered in the standard C to C range or the lower A to A. Both harps are the same size. Now also offered as a double harp but can only be strung as A to A.

About Rees Harps
Following in the sawdust of great luthiers, William Rees has been crafting the finest of quality instruments since 1972. William is also an accomplished, award-winning multi-instrumentalist who has been teaching and playing professionally since 1970.
Along William’s travels, he was joined in the business by his wife, Pamela who watches over the business side of the business as well as providing staff services for the five house rabbits who share William and Pamela’s lives.
Rees Harps started in a garage outside of Yosemite National Park in California. William’s harps quickly became popular for their natural beauty, great sound, dynamic range and light weight. In 2000, when the business needed to expand, the Rees’ relocated to Rising Sun, Indiana. Garen, William’s son, and Melissa, Garen’s wife both joined the business when they were each still in high school, in 1998 and 2002 respectively. They are already planning for the day when the company is theirs to propel into the future. Melissa and Garen are proud of their pet chickens and dog, Piper. The business turned forty in 2012 and the best is yet to come.
