Thirty-eight high school students representing Iowa’s locally owned electric cooperatives traveled to Washington, D.C., from June 14-20 and joined more than 1,900 other students from across the nation for the 2019 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour. Line Crews Enjoy HelpingHands This SummerSeveral area graduates and students are assisting Heartland Power line crews this summer. Join us in welcoming these young men to the co-op!

Sawyer Dalluge, Grafton: Originally from Grafton, Sawyer received his diploma from Marshalltown Community College for Utility Technician in 2019. He has been hired for a 1,000 hours program through the cooperative.Nick Sabin, Buffalo Center: Nick will be attending line school at Minnesota West Community and Technical College this fall. We’re glad to have Nick helping crews in the Thompson office this summer!Dylan Low, St. Ansgar: Dylan graduates this month from the line program in Sheldon and has been assisting the co-op when available. Brady Pannhoff, St. Ansgar: Brady will graduate from the line program in Sheldon this month and has been been helping co-op line crews when available.
