July 2020 Greetings American Academy of Chefs Fellows! Well, the excitement has been building for several months and the time is drawing near for our Induction of the 2020 class of Fellows. They will be joining us this month via a virtual ceremony as they become Fellows of this most prestigious honor society. We have been busy getting everything ready for this upcoming virtual AAC Fellows business meeting, to be held on July 28 th at 3 pm EDT. Joe and I would like to personally invite all AAC Fellows to join us as we present the state of the Academy, as well as introduce to you our new AAC Fellows. As a reminder, the ACF will be hosting our virtual Convention from August 3rd through August 5th. . The theme will be “Around the World in Eighty Plates” and it will feature some great chef demos and speakers. I hope you will be able to attend. Click here As we move into summer, we are starting to see many more sectors of our industry reopening, but at the same time we have also seen that some areas are experiencing major setbacks as they begin the process. Let’s hope the new controls that have been put in place will be able slow and control this latest outbreak so we can again get moving in the right direction. I know it is a very slow road, as far as our industry’s recovery, but I know with a lot of hard work we will get there. I will besetting up a meeting with the new Bailli Delegue Bertrand de Boutray in thenear future to continue the work that Harold has started.

    Membership - Connection - Involvement

    The "Prestigious Honor Society" of the AmericanCulinary Federation offers a unique way to honorthose who have worked hard and risen through theranks of the culinary field. A successful application foracceptance as an AAC Fellow will serve as theculmination of years of involvement in the great

    culinary profession, and as an ACF member.

    An Academy Fellow must request an application for a potential inductee.Candidates will need two sponsor letters of recommendation from votingAcademy Fellows. An Academy Fellow is permitted to sponsor one newapplicant per year, as is a Regional Director. Online applications must bereturned by December 1st, 2020 . Induction will be at the 2021 ACFNational Convention in Orlando, FL.
