At the Rocky Mountain USAF Flight Training Center, aka Aero Club, flying is safe and easy, thanks to the highly trained, competent in-structors, supervised and complete-ly regulated by the FAA. Located at Peterson Air Force Base, the RMUFTC is one of the very best aero clubs in the Air Force and one of the best flight training schools in the world.

In 2019, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world’s largest aviation association, recognized the Rocky Mountain USAF Flight Training Center for its high standard of accomplishment in flight training. During that year, the FTC flew 3500 hours and achieved a 98% pass rate on FAA written and practical tests.

The Association also awarded the RMUFTC, which is part of the 21st Force Support Squadron, the title of a Distinguished Flight School for 2019, a title given to high scor-ing flight schools during AOPA’s annual Flight Training Experience Survey. AOPA’s Flight Training Experience Awards were created to highlight the best flight training the industry has to offer and is received by the top 3% of flight schools in the nation.

In addition to the Distinguished Flight School Award, David R. Novotny, an instructor at the RMUFTC, was recognized as the Best Flight Instructor in the Northwest Mountain Region, a ti-tle given to the top scoring flight instructor.

The Rocky Mountain USAF Flight Training Center is an FAA Part 141 school approved to teach ground school and flying to obtain Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Rating, Certified Flight Instructor and Instrument Flight Instructor, Airline Transport Pilot and Rotor to Fixed Wing, Multi-engine, and com-plex aircraft certifications. A Part 141 school is structured to assure that students learn one segment before going on to the next segment.

Rocky Mountain USAF Flight Training Center is also VA approved and can accept your VA funds to help pay for your flight training.

ABOUT OUR FLIGHT SCHOOLWe are an FAA Part 141 Flight and Ground School. One of the many advantages of a Part 141 School is the FAA oversight of all aspects of training and aircraft. Approved Part 141 schools
