YOUTH CHOIR AT MATER CHRISTI

Do you have musical talents you would like to share with others?

Mater Christi’s Teen Choir, which performs regularly at the 4:00

mass on Saturday will be expanding into a Youth Choir this sum-

mer, and is looking to welcome students in grades 4-12 to per-

form with us. Singers and instrumentalists are welcome. We will

be performing at various Sunday masses throughout the summer.

Anyone interested should contact Eugene Lorini at erlmusi-

[email protected] for further information. Come make great music

with us

ICE CREAM SOCIAL FOR SENIORS!

Mater Christi senior parishioners are cordially invited

to celebrate National Ice Cream month with NNORC

at an ice cream social to be held on Wednesday, July

24th at 1:30 pm in the Mater Christi Parish Center.

NNORC is a Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Re-

tirement Community identified as having a high num-

ber of seniors age 60 and older. Take a break from the heat, join

your neighbors for a make-your-own sundae bar and find out

more about services provided by this helpful organization. For

more information about NNORC, take a yellow newsletter from

the table in the gathering area or visit www.jfsneny.org/nnorc.

Please call NNORC at (518) 514-2023 to RSVP for this free

event.

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

The Parish Office will close at 12 noon on Fridays

from July 12th through August 30th. The office will be

open regular hours (9:00 am to 3:00 pm) from Mon-

day through Thursday throughout the summer.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY NEWS

Our next gathering is on Thursday, July 25th from 1:00-3:00pm

in the Parish Center. If you bought yarns to knit or crochet

shawls, lap robes, etc., please bring all receipts to submit for

reimbursement. Thank you and we hope to see everyone again.

Please note that year round we continue to gift our projects to

our parishioners, local organization’s clients and hospital pa-

tients. Thank you, Fr. John Cronin, for your presence at our

June 27th gathering. Your anointing of our hands means a lot to

our ministry. Please do keep in touch and may God’s blessings

be upon you always. - J. Olimpo

DO YOU HOMESCHOOL?

Saint Peter's Homeschoolers (SPH) is a homeschooling sup-

port/social group that provides activities for children and fami-

lies, and support for mothers. The group reaches out to Cath-

olic homeschooling families through the celebration of the

Catholic tradition, shared prayer, and faith-filled social

events. We are now accepting registrations for the upcoming

school year! For more information, please contact: mgncal-

[email protected].

PLEASE HELP US UPDATE OUR RECORDS!

If you are aware of a parishioner who is homebound or living in a

nursing home or assisted living residence, please let us know so

we can update our records. We would like to include these parish-

ioners as recipients of our visitation, greeting cards and flower

ministries so they know that they are remembered by their Mater

Christi family. Please call the Parish Office at (518) 489-3204 or

send an email with the information to [email protected].

Thank you for your assistance
