You’re Invited! Youth Choir Meet & Greet! This will be a chance for Youth and parents to meet the Youth Choir Director; meet other youth that will be apart of the choir; listen to some music for Youth Day and learn about the mission of the Youth Choir. The Youth Choir consists of youth ages 11-17. So if you were a part of the children's choir or children's ministry and you are wondering where to go from there -- we want you! If you're just sitting in the congregation, but wish to be engaged in service --- we want you! So come on out Saturday, August 6th at 11am for some fun and fellowship! See you there! On Saturday, August 13th we’re hosting our Annual Community Book Bag Giveaway and Fun Day at the security Boulevard Location. Our Outreach Ministries will be distributing book bags and hosting a day of activities for young persons and their families from the church and community. They need your help. They need school supplies donated – bins are in the lobby and a detailed list of supplies needed is included on our website. Then, they need volunteers to help make the day a success. 2016 MSBC Back To School Fair and Backpack Give-Away
Saturday, August 13, 2016, will be an event filled day at the STAR! We will have our MSBC Community Service Day as well as the Back to School Fair and Backpack Give-Away.
Our goal is to again distribute 300-500 backpacks for members of the Church and community. Our invitation for the general membership to donate supplies will begin this weekend.
NOW – Let's begin the 2nd Annual MINISTRY CHALLENGE component of our Campaign. Leader's, let’s set the stage. We are asking each MSBC ministry to accept the Challenge, encourage your ministry members to participate; AND LET'S BE A BLESSING TO THE CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY.
From July 17 - August 7, bins will be in the lobby for you to drop off supplies.

What happens now?
As Team Captain, you will determine how your team will meet your challenge. Bins are located in the lobby for your donations. We are also asking the congregation to bring in supplies to augment our Team donations, I've attached a list of the supplies needed. Please have all supplies in by August 7, 2016.
This is such an important way for us to give back and continue to “build and rebuild lives” of the children in our community! Morning Star has released a Commemorative DVD which captures our historic March 26th Groundbreaking Event for our NEW Ministry Campus. The DVD is just $15.00 and is available at our Tape Sales Center in the lobby. You’ll want a copy of this DVD for your personal library.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION In order to efficiently use our facilities, the following
adjustments has been made to the Security Boulevard schedule for the summer months:
Beginning June 14th through the end of August, the
Security Blvd location will close on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM; any meetings or ministry activities will need to be held at the church
Beginning July 13th through the end of August, the Security Blvd. location will close on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM; any
meetings or ministry activities will need to be held at the church
Existing procedures for requesting a room at any of our facilities remain the same. Direct any questions to your Ministry
Leader or Deacon Carl Williams, our Facilities Manager.
The Renaissance Center (RC), a Christian Counseling Center, has an opening for a part time Clinical Director/Therapist. This individual will provide clinical supervision to staff, occasionally represent the RC at fairs or other community events, see clients and attend staff meetings. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director will be expected to perform some of those duties.The part time hours are 20-25 hours per week including two evenings a week and a flexible schedule to accommodate scheduling staff and clients for other daytime appointments. The applicant must have at least 5 years of experience providing counseling and at least 2 years as a Clinical Director. Additionally, the applicant must have a LCPC, LCSW-C license or be a licensed psychologist in Maryland and possess a masters or doctorate degree in social work, counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, etc. Please forward your resume to Dr. Carla Debnam, Executive Director Renaissance Center, [email protected].
