Wed, Sept 2 ● Night of Worship ● 7:00 pm School has started and fall is right around the corner! This is the time of

year we re-start our Wednesday night activities, and this year we're

going to kick it off with a Night of Worship. Our Night of Worship will be

Wednesday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m. The staff will be leading the music

(don't worry, by staff I just mean Courtney, Jonathan and myself. I

wouldn't subject you all to Roger's ukulele playing!) We may add another

musician or two to the mix, but regardless, our goal is to simply worship

our God together as we get back in the "school year frame of mind."

Please set aside some time that night to join us in worship through

music! See you there.

Summer is over! Where has the time gone? School is back in session and fall is coming! Most of the students aren't really that excited to be back in class, but on the bright side: it's almost time for youth group to start back up! We are super excited over here at Shift Student Ministries to kick things off on September 13th! We'll kick things off in September with a series looking at the life of Elisha called 'Powerful Grace,' hope to see you there!

We've had a lot of fun since getting back from CIY. We enjoyed some great fellowship and not so great hotdogs at our fire pit a few weeks ago, and were sent packing when Courtney’s kidz challenged us to a NERF war (they just wouldn’t get out). We’re looking forward to our Table Top night on August 26th and the All-Church Night of Worship on September 2nd!

Parents: Please do not forget about our Parent Meeting after church on August 30th! I have important information for you.

I also want to give a big thank you to everyone for your kind words of encouragement after my ordination, and thank you for all the support you have shown to both Sarah and myself!

What is Wednesday Night RECESS?

RECESS stands for Real & Exciting Christian Education: Serving the Spirit and it is our

discipleship program for children age 3 through 5th grade. A nursery is provided for ages 2 and

below if parents are volunteering or attend a Wednesday night Bible study class.

We emphasize Bible learning and spiritual application as we encourage kids to grow closer to

God. The 1st-5th graders have a chance to earn points that they can exchange for "RECESS Bucks" to spend in our

classroom store at the end of the school year. RECESS is a high-impact and lively time.

Wednesday nights are a great time to get your kids plugged into Town & Country. Most of our kids who are deep-

rooted in their faith and following Jesus are involved in this program. This year we will be studying Bible Skills, Drills

& Thrills so be sure your child brings their Bible each week as we dive into God’s Word!

Meals include: spaghetti, baked potato & salads, fried

chicken, and a monthly special by Jaquita. Each week’s

meal will be announced in the bulletin. Sign up on
