As you may well be aware, JAMBulletin aims at highlighting those innovations not only with the purpose of showcasing them but also to create awareness as to their functionality. In our first series on COVID- 19-Inspired Innovations which was premiered on the JAMBulletin of Monday, 8th June, 2020, we highlighted the introduction of the SMA(R)T phone number. This was followed by the Appointment Booking Platform, an innovation that is crucial to our desire to render quality service while ensuring that extant guidelines relating to physical distancing, as issued by relevant agencies to curb the spread of COVID -19, are adhered to. PUNCH, SUNDAY, JUNE 28, 2020- COVID-19: 1.3Million UTME Candidates Can’t Seek Admission Over Delayed WAEC, NECO Exams: No fewer than 1,300,000 U n i f i e d Te r t i a r y M a t r i c u l a t i o n Examination candidates may lose their admission in 2020 over the delay in the conduct of Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This affects the category of candidates who used awaiting results to sit the 2020 UTME, which held between March 14 and March 22 – a few weeks into the COVID-19 crisis. The inability of WAEC and NECO to hold the SSCE as a result of the c losure of schools may l ikely jeopardise the admission chances of the UTME candidates. As part of the JAMB Policy guidelines, candidates with awaiting results would only be considered when their original results are uploaded on the Board’s website.

According to a report by Nairametrics, a financial resource company based in Nigeria, international undergraduate students pay a yearly £13,394 for classroom taught courses, and £15,034 and £24,169 respectively for laborator y and c l in i ca l courses . Postgraduate students pay £13,442, £15,638, and £20,956, respectively for the classroom, laboratory, and clinical-based courses. For MBA students, the tuition is £18,226 on the average. THISDAY, MONDAY, JUNE 29, 2020- 2,000 Fake NCE Certificates Uncovered in Kwara College: The Provost of Kwara State College of Education(CoED), Ilorin, Prof. Yusuf AbdulRaheem, has hinted that the authorities of the institution have discovered about 2,000 fake National Certificate of Education (NCE) allegedly issued in the name of the institution. he Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has Tcarried out minor reorganisation of its administrative structure with the aim of providing effective services to the

nation. The reorganisation, which was approved by the Governing Board, affected only the former Corporate Support Services Department which is now to be known as Human Resources Department with the following Divisions and Units as outline below: The Department is to be headed by a Director with the Clinic Record;Leave Passage Units in the Director’s Office.The Divisions are Staff Matters with Appointment, Promotion and Discipline;Severance and Registry Units. Training and Capacity Building Division and Pension and Welfare Division which has PENCON/PFA and Group Life; Welfare and Retirement/Resignation Units.These changes are with immediate effect and all members of staff of the Board and other stakeholders are to note.
