Hello busy bees, the months come and go so quickly! I cannot believe we are already 1/4 of the way to DCON! Take a moment to reect what service you have participated in these last few moments, and reconcile with that amazing feeling you attain from giving back. With the school year starting, remember to always schedule time out of your week to give back to the community! That feeling of giving back is a great stressreliever for the hum-drum of highschool. This past month of June came with our unexpected June BBQ DCM, raising a total of 315 dollars. I would like to thank thosewho came out, and would like to encourage the rest of you to start participating in division events! As we inch closer to our goal of two thousand for PTP, have you thought of what YOU as a member can do to help raise for our cause? Begin to talk to your club ocers and begin fundraising! Relay for Life was held on Saturday, June 8 to Sunday June 9 where the participateshave the opportunity to spend the night and take part in remembering those whohave passed away or survived from cancer. Our Key Club group partnered up with another non-prot organization know was the Midtown Youth Advisory Board, alsoknown as YAB. The rst day of this event, we held a booth where we sold handmadebracelets, sodas, waters, otter pops, and water balloons. In addition, we also held arae in which we raed o a Justin Bieber and also did henna tattoos for people. Our members enjoyed being active in this event because it brought both sentimental memories to them since some had relatives who passed away due to cancer, and they had fun bonding with each other and others. Although it was ahot day, this event turned out to be successful and worthwhile. We raised a goodamount of money for the cancer society as we sponsored ovarian and colon cancer.I hope that our members can participate in this event next year and aim to make iteven better. - Liz Morales

On July 4th, Merrill F. West High's Key Club hosted an event open to the entire division. We all participated in a parade in Manteca. Breakfast was available earlyin the morning. After breakfast, everyone helped prepare for the parade. We decorated Mr. Montalbo's truck, and tied streamers to ourselves. During the march,we tossed candy out to the children. I'd like to thank everyone who attended for serving the community on a holiday, especially two students from Stagg, and ourvery own LTG. - Roselyn Duong

During the June DCM, we sold BBQ hot dogs outside of Grocery Outlet. We heldsigns, posted yers, handed out yers, and coupons, and cooked the hot dogs ourselves. All of the items were generously donated to us by Grocery Outlet. Without them, we would not have been able to hold this event and raise money. A little bit over $300 went to PTP from this event. Also, to our surprise, Merrill F. West High was presented with the spirit stick for this month. This was due to the hard work of all of our members and advisors, who, I presume, will continue to serve their community. - Roselyn Duong
