Don Campbell and Jane McDonald, having purchased the Ritza house becameaware that the garden ornament in the yard was apparently the baptistry from theold St. Francis Xavier Church. They were anxious for us to have it back. Throughthe efforts of Richard Russell and his assistants, it has, with considerable difficulty, been returned here. Campbell Monuments will attempt to restore it with theintention of placing it in the main entrance as a reservoir for holy water. Ourthanks to Don and Jane for their sensitivity and generosity .
