5W Cattle Co.We would like to sincerely thank the MAS members for the invita-

tion to become a part of this great event!! We consider it an honor andprivilege to be among great cattle, but more importantly, great fami-lies! Ours is a true family operation, as it is all five of us, thus our ranchname. We are Ron, Rhonda, Maycie, Hunter and Hannah Wells

We began breeding Simbrah cattle in 2005, with our Matriarchcow, LMC Destiny, LMC Precious and LMC Texas Belle, and thenadding our herdsires, ZZ Guapo, RSUN Cowboy Casanova and J7NBaring Waverider. We are very pleased with the production, profitabili-ty and maternal correctness they have put in our pastures. With theheat conditions, high humidity and extreme drought conditions, thesecattle continue to perform at a high level. We are also pleased and thankful for our successes in the show ring.

We believe that the Simbrah breed has the best junior program among all breeds. A program that not only teachesfuture generations of Simbrah breeders about the breed and being a better showman, but also teaches life lessons tohelp them succeed in any endeavor throughout their lives. It has been extremely beneficial to our kids, as well asmany others!

Being around and getting to know so many leaders and self motivators within the breed has encouraged us andkept us motivated to continue to sponsor our annual 5W Cattle Company Field Day in September, in an attempt to helpmotivate our future leaders.

We plan to continue to breed and offer our best cattle. We are confident in the quality of cattle we are continuing toproduce and invite you to come take a look.

This heifer was raised in the 5W Cattle Co. programand was recently the $ellabration Reserve GrandChampion for our son Hunter.

La Morra Cattle CompanyUnlike many successful cattle operations that are generations old, La Morra Cattle Company has

only been in existence since 2001. We began this business as a personal challenge to ourselves, ven-turing out into a totally new experience. We educated ourselves on cattle by paying attention toSimbrah breeders at stock shows and listening in on cattle discussions.

A bit of history, I was raised in Mathis, Texas, a small farming community approximately 30 milesnorth of Corpus Christi. I attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville (yes I still call it A&I) and this iswhere I met my wife, Nelda. During my college years, I started officiating basketball to make endsmeet. Long story short, I officiated basketball for 28 years. After all those years of running up anddown the basketball court, I knew that my officiating career would end. My dilemma was what I wasgoing to do with my free time. In comes my brother-in-law, Fred Moreno, La Negra Cattle Co.. Fredmarried my wife’s younger sister, Dina, thus this became my cattle connection. Believe me, I didn’thave any knowledge of raising cattle, but the whole idea intrigued me. I had always been involved incompetitive sports so I thought I would try the challenge of creating, raising and competing in the Simbrah breed and cattle shows. The rest is histo-ry.

The biggest and best cattle decision we have made was the decision to purchase LMC Knockout Muneca 5 M/9 at MAS II. Understanding thatcow power is just as important as bull power and our commitment to produce quality and competitive cattle, we decided that M9 was going to be thematriarch of our herd. Of course, in this business, nothing is a sure thing but she did not disappoint us. M9 is definitely a MAJOR asset in our cattleprogram. M9’s progeny has been a major contributor to SIMBRAH’s success of late. First of all, off-springs from LMC Oprah (M9’s daughter), LMCDiva and LMC WFC Dream Girl have been just as competitive as any other cow family in the breed and off-springs have sold for record amounts. In2010, M9 produced the National Grand Champion bull (J7N VicMar 420) and the National Reserve Champion bull (J7N Whiskey River). Off springsfrom these two young bulls are just now making their public appearance. The first VicMar 420 heifer was crowned RGV Calf Champion in 2012 andthe first Whiskey River heifers are being offered at MAS VII. Another M9 daughter, J7N What-A-Delight affectionately called “Demi”, was exhibitedsuccessfully by Victor Moreno. Demi was the 2011 National Senior Heifer Champion in San Antonio, 2011 Supreme Champion at the S.T.A.R. showin Edinburg and the 2011 Reserve Grand Champion Heifer at the American Jr. Simbrah Round Up. And most recently, J7N Excellencia, a BBCBoomerang daughter out of M9, was the 2012 Senior Heifer Champion at the RGV Jr. Show.

There are many individuals that have helped us along the way and contributed to our successes so we would like to recognize three individualsthat have always been there for us, Javier Moreno at La Negra Cattle, Roy Baring with Baring Cattle Company and Carlos Guerra from La MunecaCattle Company. These gentlemen run first class cattle operations and have been an invaluable source of information for us as we have grown ouroperation.

We are excited at the opportunity of becoming a MAS member and are humbled to no end. When in South Central Texas, come by and visit. Wewould be more than happy to show you our herd. Heck, we can even talk basketball if you like.

J7N What A Delight, a product of our program andout of our matriarch M9.

Championship pedigree, championship performance, and championshipstyle, Yu Got It has it all. This full sister to Winston Walter’s 2011 NationalChampion female is a fantastic combination female. Abundant muscling, bone, and femininity all come to mind when describing this female. She isalso bred with a strong maternal base containing Sargeant and Legend inher pedigree. After her show career, she will become a powerhousebreeding asset as she is a total outcross to the Nu Wave line. Two units ofsemen from any RFI herd bull are available with this lot, including: NuWave, Charismatic, and be on the lookout for Extra Ordinary! Sells open.

Smith Genetics is very proud to offer this outstanding set of bred femalesto MAS VII in an attempt to also have more mature cattle available topotential buyers. Zoe is another great breeding piece with tremendousmaternal power out of Smith Evan. Evan is a syndicated bull owned jointlyby Reavis Farms, McCrary Farms and Smith Genetics with no semen sales domestically – the only way to get the genetics of this greatBella Bella son is to buy his daughters or sons and this is a great opportunity to do just that! Zoe sells bred to the immortal NF SmithSargeant that has definitely made his mark on the Simbrah breed by producing many breed champions and now his daughters are prov-ing to be some of the best in the breed. The stoutness and design of Zoe is typical of what is needed in great producing females. Takeadvantage of the Smith Genetics semen offer with two straws going with each of our lots for future use on that individual female from anybull in our line up – this alone adds value to each female offered! Safe in calf to NF Smith Sargeant on 4/2/12 with an expected calvingdate of 1/9/13.

With correctness in her structural design, stoutness in her makeup, andthe style that Charismatic stamps on all his daughters, 711X is right up thealley to produce great ones. Your catalog should have a star next to hernumber and awesome written beside it. Her EPDs rank her in the top 1%of the breed for API (All Purpose Index) and TI (Terminal Index). She sells heavy bred to the Smith & McCrary Farms junior herd sire,Always In Style, who is out of the great Smith Priceless and sired by Dream On making him a full brother to Thunderstruck – she has theability to turn a profit the first year you own her. Two straws of semen are also available for future production with Lindy Lou from our herdbull battery. Safe in calf to Smith Always In Style from pasture exposed dates of 7/20/12 – 10/15/12.

RFI Ritzy was the2011 NationalChampion and 2010Belt BuckleChampion in bothrings for WinstonWalters. Lot 8 is a fullsister to Ritzy.

For those looking for bred replacement heifers, look no farther. Kitty is astout made, balanced female with adequate muscling and femininity. Sheis sired by Nu Approach, and out of a Sargeant sired female. She sellsbred to Nu Wave II. I just don’t think it gets any better than that! The result-ing calf in my opinion, will be the ultimate genetic combination. She sellsbred to Nu Wave II, pasture exposed from April 30 to June 10th.

Yu Know It is an incredibly smooth made and balanced female that drawsmore attention by the day. Reavis Farms places an emphasis on perform-ance and maternal traits and our pedigrees are stacked with these eco-nomic traits that not only read well as EPDs, but more importantly in thepasture. This is a heifer that can go into any environment and thrive. Twounits of semen are available with this female. Sells open.

Yu Go Girl will be a presale favorite! She is a shiningexample that muscle, volume, and substance can beput together in a smooth, balanced package. If you arein the cow business, then this is a female you can buildaround. She has the style of a top show heifer, and thebrood cow appeal of a future donor. J7N Yabba-Du is the second Whiskey River heifer born at La Morra Ranchand one that we hate seeing leave. This was our first attempt to see whatthe cross mating of Boomerang sired cattle with Whiskey River could pro-duce and we were not disappointed. Yabba-Du is an angular, deep sidedheifer that stands wide and expresses her power by showing off her widestance, all while flaunting her femininity. Just like her paternal sister, offered in Lot 14, this young lady a stylish heifer. In this mating, you get M9X JW Black genetics along with BCC Boomerang to create a powerful genetic package. There is no doubt, J7N Yabba-Du will be a valu-able breeding asset after her show career is over. Sells open.

Selling 1/2-interest and 1/2-possession. Our commitment is to bring thebest cattle available in our offerings and this is the best show heiferprospect for the upcoming show season and boy is J7N Yours Truly a goodone!! We have had our share of excellent show cattle, to include the 2010National Champion and Reserve Champion bulls both out of our M9donor and in our opinion, she is the best heifer we have raised. J7N Yours Truly is the first heifer out of our 2010 National ReserveChampion bull, J7N Whiskey River and a Go Getter daughter that we pur-chased from La Muneca and Bet M Ranch at Synergy in 2010. Here isyour chance to purchase the much sought after M9 genetics, which haveexceled in both the sale ring and the show ring. Whiskey River is a mater-nal brother to the famous LMC Oprah (5M9 daughter) which created LMCDiva and Diva created Dream Girl. Another M9 son, J7N VicMar 420 wasthe 2010 National Champion bull and he sired J7N Yamini, the 2012 RGVCalf champion. So now the J7N Whiskey River progeny has started with J7N Yours Truly. Could she “TRULY” be the next great one?Genetically, it doesn’t get much better!! The M9 cow family has proven to be one of the most profitable cow families in the breed. If you are looking for an immediate show contender, this baby doll is your type of calf. J7N Yours Truly is truly balanced with boldness asexpressed in her thickness, strong top and muscling but yet she shows her eye appealing femininity as expressed by a great front-endmaking for a great show heifer prospect. Producing sound and functional cattle is our goal at La Morra and in ouropinion, J7N Yancey fits the bill perfectly. Yancey is a capacious, deepsided, angular, smooth shouldered heifer out of our senior herd sire, BCCBoomerang, and one of our first Simbrah cows, Miss Roc-N-T 712, thatwe purchased from our good friend Glenda Whitley (Tackitt Ranch). Our712 cow is big footed, deep-sided and is a heavy milker. We expect thesame maternal traits for this solid black, free moving show heifer prospectthat will surely attract attention in the show ring and in the pasture. Buyerwill receive two units of semen from any of La Morra Cattle bulls to use onthis heifer, including J7N VicMar 420, J7N Whiskey River or Hagans AnteUp. Sells open.

Boomerang has made a great impact on our cattle herd and in the showring. Arianna Cantu showed J7N Xena in 2010 and she was the 2010Reserve Champion Simbrah at the competitive STAR show. AnotherBoomerang heifer shown by Klarrisa Cantu was the 2010 InternationalReserve Calf Champion in Houston. Finally, Dario Salinas showed a thirdBoomerang heifer that was the 2012 Senior Calf Champion at the RioGrande Valley Stockshow. If RED is your color then this is the one for you. In this offering, we introduce you to J7N Yordana, a powerfulsleek looking heifer that is as long as a freight train. This strong spined, heavy muscled and stout heifer possesses the show quality thather predecessor Boomerang sisters had. As an added note, J7N Yordana’s dam and J7N Xena’s dam are full sisters therefore makingYordana and Xena almost full sibs. Don’t miss the opportunity to get a great breeding and show heifer prospect. Sells open.

J7N Yabadoo is another Boomerang sired August show heifer prospectthat we are offering. If you like working hair on show heifers, Yabadoo isthe one for you. She is a very gentle, deep sided, level hipped black heiferthat should have a great show career. Boomerang heifers have made animpact in the show ring, having produced division champions at the majorshows for the Freasier Ranch and the Willey family in San Antonio, plus Boomerang has also produced a Reserve Grand Champion inSan Antonio for the Bettice family. But what makes this heifer even more appealing is that she is out of a Monte Christo cow. In our opin-ion Monte Christo cattle, in general, are the most fertile cattle in the business. We purchased Angelina at Synergy in 2010 with anOctober heifer on her side. Eleven months later, Angelina calved to produce Yabadoo. As a cowman, this is what we look for in breedingpieces, FERTILITY. Sells open.

Selling one-half interest and one-half possession. A few years ago webegan to accumulate an embryo bank chalked full of some of the breed’shottest matings, including this full sister to LMC Black Perfecto.Phenotypically speaking, the Black Perfecto bull was one of the mostimpressive and complete herd sires I had ever seen at La Muñeca.Alexandra’s dam is the popular “Sophie” cow that won the 2000 San Antonio Open Show, as well as the RGVLS Open and Junior Showsfor Anne Baring. Alexandra offers an outcross pedigree being sired by the SAC Mr. MT bull that produced some of Simmental’s most pro-ductive cattle during the last decade. The LMC Titan bull will go down as one of the best Simmy bulls ever used at La Muñeca and is thesire to the 5H/144 donor that produced over 70 Grade A embryos in one flush, a record for veteran embryologist, Dr. Boyd Bien.Alexandra qualifies for the LMC Jr. Program and can show at the National Percentage Show in San Antonio and the Houston Jr. AORBShow. We are looking forward to putting this female into production, as we believe she has the pedigree and phenotype to take our pro-gram to the next level. Sells open.

J7N Yasmin will be a great addition to any cow herd. She is a stout, bigfooted, deep-sided, broody kind of heifer that exudes performance. Onething that is becoming evident to us is that the cattle in M9 progeny are per-formance type of cattle. This will be your opportunity in owning a piece ofthe M9 progeny as this heifer’s sire is an M9 son, J7N Vortex (we callChanito). J7N Vortex is a LMC Johnnie Walker son, while Yasmin’s damis sired by J7N Power-Rod, a R-S Powerball X LMC Margaritaville son.Going back further in the progeny, LMC Margaritaville is a maternal sisterto JW Black’s dam, LMC Joslin. Do not miss out on this one. We predictgreat things will happen with this heifer. Buyer will receive two units ofsemen from either BCC Boomerang or Hagans Ante Up to use on thisheifer. AI'd 4/30/12 to BCC Boomerang.

J7N Yachi will command your attention. She is another one of our stout,deep-sided, soggy type of heifers that will be a valued breeding piece forany program. At La Morra Ranch, we believe in introducing new Simmentalblood in our herd. We believe that VALUE is in the uniqueness and thisheifer is definitely unique. J7N Yachi is a daughter of one of our successfulSimbrah X Simmental matings. Yachi’s dam is a fabulous red 3/4-Simbrah sired by CMSU Poppngood, a stout, wide based red Simmybull. J7N Yachi’s sire, J7N Thunderball, is an R-S Powerball son out of Cumbia Linda, one of the best cows we own. The breedingpotential for this heifer is unlimited as she is a TOTAL OUTCROSS to any of today’s Simbrah bulls. Buyer will receive two units of semenfrom any of La Morra Cattle bulls to use on this heifer, BCC Boomerang, J7N VicMar 420, J7N Whiskey River, or Hagans Ante Up. Cowgurl is a super long, feminine, thick, red January babydoll showprospect. She is sired by a Black Star grandson and out of a beautiful, long, feminine Ante Up daughter named Covergirl. Covergirl has a text-book udder and is very fertile so this female should follow in her mamma’sfootsteps in production after her show career is over. Cowgurl is extreme-ly eye appealing and her good bone and red color demand attention. Shewill do well in the showring and has eligibility in Superbowl, MAS, and Heart of Simbrah. Again, our bulls will be available for breeding thisfemale. Another top notch female from the heart of our herd. If you’re looking for a female with beautiful color that will survive the harshsummers of the Texas, RGV Red C is your girl. This heifer has a beautifuldeep red color and blaze face. The extension of her front end and her boneis something that popped out at me when I first saw her. This heifer, despite her age, is already looking like a cow. This heifer’s sire, LMC RedMagnum, comes from the immortal cow families of 3E/89 and LMC SheMoves. Both females produced international champs such as LMC Red Bullet, LMC Black Bullet, and LM Full House. Red Magnum’ssire, LMC Red Bullet, has produced many champs in his years, such as the 2009 International and National Champion Simbrah Bull,LMC No Limit. With a pedigree like that, there’s definitely more to come. Red C is halter broke, very gentle, and has one year left of showeligibility! RGV Red C sells open and upon purchase sells with 2 units of semen on any of the RGVCC bulls to breed her to.

RGV Sire, LMC Superstar is a super stout, square hipped, big boned Moose son out ofthe great Morning Star. Look at the bull's cleanness for all the bone he has. The pedi-gree is amazing: Moose is a full sib to Dream Girl. He is out of Nu Wave II and Diva. Divais out of Johnnie Walker Black and Oprah. Oprah is out of Powerhouse and M9. M9 isput La Morra Cattle Co on the map. Look at all the power in this pedigree - and that'sonly on the paternal side. On the maternal side, Morning Star is sired by Powerhouseand She Moves. She Moves is sired by the Denver Champion Simmie bull Night Movesand the famous 5C/35 cow of LMC. So in review, maternally we have Morning Star, SheMoves, Diva, Oprah, and M9. So if you want a bull with maternal power, this is your bull.He not only is genetically phenomenal, he defended himself in the show ring this pastshow season, placing no lower than 2nd in the largest classes at San Antonio andHouston. We will be collecting him this fall. If you are interested, please call me at 956-279-2200 or La Muneca at 383-7566 to place your orders.

We recently purchased our new junior herdsire, LMC LF Bosco. This bull's deep redcoat, massive bone, spring of rib, excellent hip and front end extension are all traits Ilook for in a herd bull. The best trait this bull has is his motion. It's not often that you

see a bull stride so smoothly with so much power. This next breed changer is sired byRocco and out of a beautiful Johnnie Walker daughter named Bridget that won many ashow for Marco Flores. Bridget's dam is LMC Daisy. Daisy's dam is the famous 5H/144

cow that is probably the most fertile cow in the LMC herd. So again major leaguematernal power matched with awesome sires make up this bull's pedigree. This bull

would have sent major shockwaves through the show barn if he was shown. Heshould be bred to polled cows, if polledness is a desired trait for you. He is horned, but

he is phenomenal. I never thought I would buy a horned bull until I laid eyes on thisbull. I am super excited to have him in my herd with my polled and double polled cows.

We may be collecting him along with Superstar in the fall. If you are interested insemen, please call me at 956-279-2200.” Co owned with Gilberto Garza, Jr

In the summer of 2005, a group of young, progressive Simbrah breeders estab-lished a marketing group named Marketing American Simbrah. Commonly referred toas MAS, which translates MORE is exactly MAS’s vision—placing More Simbrahs inMore cattlemen’s pastures in MORE markets-not only in Texas, but worldwide. MAS isspinning off the momentum created by the best Simbrah we have ever raised with amarket for these cattle that has never been as hot and demanding as now.

Abig hearty thanks goes out all of our supporters for making MAS VI another greatSimbrah event. The total MAS Simbrah VI sale grossed $463,450 on 149 lots for a$3,110 average per lot with 80 buyers. Another sale highlight was the fact that severalnew Simbrah breeders were established and the many buyers from as far away asOregon, Georgia, Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi and Mexico. Leo Casaswas the auctioneer. In just six years, MAS has sold 963 lots for $2,534,785 for $2,632average with one-third of the offering being yearling bulls.

MAS has awarded over $105,000 in junior premiums and has raised over $220,000for different scholarships and breed promotion. Carlos X Guerra, a founding member ofMAS has always said, “Abreed is only as good as its people”. With this in mind, MASinvests $21,000 every year in the future of Simbrah in premiums and prizes awarded atthe MAS SIMBRAH SHOWDOWN & STAR MAS Steer Show to reward those juniorswho have invested in MAS members’ programs. It is our intent to maintain both the MASSale and MAS SIMBRAH SHOWDOWN, as annual events in and effort to better servecommercial producers, seedstock producers and our youth.

We encourage other Simbrah breeders throughout the Simbrah World to do thesame by forming alliances like MAS and SYNERGY. The successful marketing ofQUALITY IN QUANTITY can only be accomplished with spirited cooperation from sev-eral breeders working together with good leadership for a common goal.

This year MAS is taking a new approach with a new time of year and a new venue, plus we are tying our event with another event to make it worth everyone’s travel dollar. This year MAS is excited to be part of the big weekend in the Rio Grande Valley and theAmerican Junior Simbrah Roundup, the national show for Simbrah junior exhibitors. It’sall shaping up to be a great weekend for the breed and we hope you are planning to be apart of it!

The alliance of the MAS members creates a cow herd in excess of over 1,500Simbrah cows in production, with 90% of those of being within a 40 mile radius in the RioGrande Valle. MAS will use this concentration of top quality cows in production withinthis region as leverage to make South Texas THE SIMBRAH CAPITAL OF THEWORLD.

As we bend the ear of more and more cattle producers with our united efforts, we areconfident that Simbrah will be come the dominate breed in South Texas. By creatingmore commercial and junior field days, we can continue to build on old relationships andcreate new friends, too. This will help each and every breeder to assist our Simbrahneeds. As MAS members, we have also added and created a $5,000 MAS Simbrahsteer show at the South Texas Agricultural Roundup, benefiting Hidalgo County 4-H andFFAmembers who purchase steers from MAS members. MAS intends to gather andutilize carcass date on Simbrah sired steers to assist in creating new markets forSimbrah both domestically and foreign.

MAS members combine over 200 years of experience in breeding and marketingSimbrah cattle as always, we appreciate your interest in MAS and if you have a recom-mendation for us, we will be glad to visit with you. We firmly believe there is no “I” inteam, and as a group, we hope to fulfill not only our Simbrah goals, but yours as well.

We are proud of our sale offering it is second to none and caters to the needs of anycattleman. We have much in store for the future of Simbrah and the entire cattle indus-try. Our events will be fun, education, and most importantly productive for every individ-ual in order to help you attain your Simbrah goals. Please join us and help us celebrateSIMBRAH’S SUCCESS.
