MissionAll children and families in DuPage County
will achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
VisionFORWARD will lead DuPage County, through a
broad-based community coalition, in promoting effective and sustainable policy, system, and
environmental strategies for children and families to achieve a healthy weight.
GoalsUnderstand the prevalence in persons who are overweight and obese in DuPage County.
Understand the factors contributing to obesity within DuPage County Communities.
Effect person level change around overweight and obesity through policy, system, and environmental change.
Promote effective and sustainable policy, system, and environmental strategies to reverse the trend of obesity in DuPage County.

Requirements For Partnership:
To become a partner of the Healthy Lombard Initiative, the interested
Group, Business, Organization, or Individual is asked to actively endorse
the purpose of Healthy Lombard by :
1. Participating in Quarterly planning meetings
2. Supporting the Mission of Healthy Lombard by
doing at least one of the following:
(a) providing a service or activity that addresses the elimination of
Childhood Obesity and promotes Healthy Living,
(b) by volunteering to assist with items identified under letter “a,” or
(c) providing financial support
3. Post events or information on the Healthy Lombard website and/or
calendar
