Psalm 116:15 says, Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. It is our pleasure to welcome you to the LLUC annual memorial service. In keeping with our theme, “Remembering our Loved Ones who Wait for the Trumpet Sound of the Life Giver,” we’ll examine what Jesus taught about death and how the Great Comforter consoles the grieving heart. We’ll give affirmation through the blessed hope to those feeling the pain of losing their loved ones. We’ll see that death was not the intention of the Life Giver. We’ll look to the Scriptures at the promises of God to the faithful who die in Christ, and we will see that “The Best Is Yet to Come.” Adrian Pressley Pastor for Pastoral Care 11125 Campus Street, Loma Linda, CA 92354 | (909) 558-4570 Adult Sabbath School Classes Young Adult Praxis / 10:00 a.m., rm 101 Rooted / 10:00 a.m., Griggs Hall rm 138 Advent Hope / 9:00 a.m., Centennial Complex/ Damazo Amphitheater Adults Adult Sabbath School / 10:30 a.m., Sanctuary Bernard Taylor / 10:30 a.m., LLU Hospital, Barnes A-level Amphitheater The Bible Lab / 10:30 a.m., Randall Amphitheater Branson Legacy Sabbath School / 10:30 a.m., Centennial Complex, rm 3111 The Connecting Place / 10:30 a.m., LLUC rm 103 Faith & Science / 10:25 a.m., Mortensen Hall Gathering Place / 10:20 a.m., Prince Hall break room Gary Chartier / 9:45 a.m., Griggs Hall, rm 2A IN Light / 10:30 a.m., rm 102 Ken Hart / 10:30 a.m., West Hall (School of Nursing), rm 1105 Sabbath Seminar / 10:30 a.m., Centennial Complex, rm 3208 Language Based Spanish Sabbath School / 10:15 a.m., Centennial Complex, rm 3232 Hungarian Worship Group / 4 p.m., LLUC rm 103 1st and 3rd Saturdays Southern Asia Fellowship Worship Group / 6 p.m. m 108 This is a weekly bulletin Church Office Hours: M.–Th., 8am – 5pm ; F., 8am–noon. Arlene Lee on May 21. She is survived by her sons Brent and Thomas and two grandchildren. Her service will be held June 10 at 10 a.m. at the Montecito chapel. Viewing will be held June 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. Sharon Walls on May 23. She is survived by her husband Art, son Brett, daughter Lori, five grandchildren, her sister Karon Jones, and her mother Faye Cornwell. The flowers in the lower north are given in loving memory and in honor of the life she lived so well. Her service will be held this afternoon at 2:30 in the sanctuary. Doug Welebir on May 8. He is survived by his wife Connie, daughter Melissa, sons Matthew and Morgan, three grandsons, siblings Carolyn, Benita, and Timothy, and 103 year old mother, Benita. Vacation Bible School is almost here! Registration for kids (ages 5-12) will close shortly. We also encourage you to volunteer! We have several special and exciting things happening for VBS this year. The Happy Daddy Band will be back again to share its musical talent and fun side with the children!

Sanctuary Sabbath School will be cancelled June 9 because of graduation exercises. Please attend one of our other adult Sabbath School classes.

The center floral arrangement is given to praise and give honor to God for the 34 years He gave Shaun Anthony Lunt to be part of our lives. We are ten years closer to seeing him again! Above Shaun’s bed, his sister found this text, which must have spoken to his heart: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and never depend on your own understanding.” Psalms 3:5.

The upper north floral arrangement is given in memory of Mary Ellen Byrd with love from her children and grandchildren. A memorial service for her will be held in the sanctuary, tomorrow, June 3, at 3 p.m.

The upper south floral arrangement is given in honor of Kaylee Corinne Ramos’ baptism today during first service. We’re proud of your decision, and we love you, Mom and Dad.

The lower south floral arrangement is given by the deacons in honor of Sharon Walls, the wife of our long term deacon leader Art Walls. Our hearts and our prayers are with Art and his entire family as they grieve this sudden loss.

Shuttle Cart Drivers Needed. We need more volunteers to serve in this vital ministry. Flexible commitment is available. Training is provided. For more information, drop by the Welcome Center, visit www.lluc.org/volunteer, or contact Wilson Mendoza at [email protected].
