FOREWORDEVERYTHING’S SEXIER IN THE SUMMER.

Pretty little (really little!) Cala Ossidiana bikini. Beach hair and MAC Vegas Volt bright coral lipstick (invest if you haven’t already). Sun, sand, rooftops, friends and mango mojitos with extra mint. Bronzed, glowing skin, and lots of it (obtained with Clarins faux or SPF 30 people). Everything’s sexier in the summer —breezy, carefree, less than serious. Even Papercut in June—enter, the Eye Candy issue. I like to think of this issue as an editorial “Cirque du Soleil”—rooted in fun, but with enough edge and provocative imagery to keep things interesting. True to Papercut style. We left the text out of this one, but

don’t think you’ll miss it too much. A few highlights: “The Lover” spread (featured on the cover) is per-fection, at its most romantic and whimsical. Cheryl Gushue’s hair and makeup look (page 30) is the sea-son’s loveliest. And photographer Pauline Darley’s “Cigue” spread (page 88) closes things out with so-phistication and drama.

A friend’s recent Facebook status read as a quote: “When we live out of our imagination, we are tied to that which is infinite.” Bring your imagination with you, wherever you carry your summer Eye Candy—we’d love to know where the combination takes you.
