New video online: Robot Control via Fraunhofer OpenXSP combining OpenMTC and WebRTC
The competence center NGNI shows how M2M and human-to-
human communication can be combined on a single platform.
See video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UVGMQ2BZQA
The Lego Mindstorm EV3 Robot is controlled via Fraunhofer Open
eXtensible Service Platform, OpenXSP, which helps to combine
OpenMTC (www.openmtc.org) and M2M communication frameworks.
On the one hand the movement of the robot is controlled using
OpenMTC, taking advantage of the motion control information from a
gyroscope sensor in a mobile device. Additionally, a video call via
WebRTC is made to a mobile device attached to the robot.
Fraunhofer OpenXSP (www.openxsp.org) is a scalable could platform
which combines M2M and human-to-human services. The service
runs on the FOKUS Future Seamless Communication Playground
and Smart Communications Playground at Fraunhofer FOKUS
(www.fuseco-playground.org, www.sc-playground.org).
