Mt. Carmel Connections “The Pinnacle of Senior Living”

The month of June ushers in the much-anticipated beginning of summer weather. For the farmer wanting to plant his crops or the vacationer anxious for some outdoor fun, tomorrow’s weather might mean the difference between success and failure. Perhaps this is the reason that we seem to be preoccupied with tomorrow. Founded in 1818, the Farmers’ Almanac has been a trusted source for long-range weather predictions. Last summer, the Farmers’ Almanac was spot on with its forecast for the summer months. Long before the Almanac began predicting the weather, people made forecasts based on their observations of the sky, animals, and nature. Some of these sayings are still recited today. Have you heard the weather sayings listed below? Do you believe they are accurate? Of course we will never be 100% certain what tomorrow will bring. Matthew 6:34 says, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” The great thing about being a part of a community like Mt. Carmel is that whatever the weather, we’ll weather it together!

THE LOREM IPSUMS SUMMER 2012

Expecting to See Jesus: A Wake-Up Call for God’s People

This month we are beginning a new DVD series, “Expecting to See Jesus” by Anne Graham Lotz, author of eleven books and the daughter of Billy Graham. A revival speaker and president and CEO of AnGeL Ministries, Anne calls Christians to wake up to the fact that Jesus may come in their lifetime. We will journey through the pages of the Bible with her as she explains why she lives her life anticipating the return of Jesus at any moment. In “Expecting to See Jesus,” Anne points out the biblical signs that she sees in the world around us. Join us in the theater on June 6th, 7th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, and 27th, at 1:00 in the afternoon and learn how to experience an authentic, deeper, richer relationship with God through a life-changing, fire-blazing revival!

Keeping in mind that this month is all about celebrating fathers, we are bringing you a video series that our men will especially enjoy! “American Classic Cars” explores Ford, Oldest Autos, Orphan Cars, and Chevrolet. While there are differences in the exact definition of a “classic car” we will all enjoy reminiscing about the distinctive-ness of the early automobiles and discovering why they still hold their value and historical interest today. Join us in the theater on June 13th, 22nd, and 29th, as we present this 3-part series.
