June 2016
Dear Church Family,
Welcome to Summer! With the wonderful rains that we received during the spring it looks like we will have a full summer of lawn mowing and plenty of mosquitos! But beyond the negatives, summertime at FBC Tipton is about what the Lord is doing in and through our children and youth! Summer kicks off with Pre-Teen Camp at Southwest Baptist Assembly on June 6-9 for students who have finished the 3rd-6th grades! The cost for camp is $70. Make sure to get your student signed up today. Super Summer is up next for our youth on June 20-24! We are still needing a few partial scholarships for some of our kids. If you can help out, please let me know! Falls Creek is July 4-8 for our youth! The cost for camp is $80. We are also needing some funds to help us out with food for the week. Vacation Bible School is July 17-21 from 6:00-9:00pm for our children!! This year's theme is "Submerged: Finding Truth Below the Surface.” As kids submerge themselves in God's Word, they will discover that Jesus saw people differently. He didn't just see what's on the outside; He saw who people were down deep. We are still in need of several teachers and helpers. If you would be interested, please see Taima Beam. As we finish up the summer we have a SERVE Day scheduled for July 31! We asking everyone to wear their "I Love My Church" shirts to the morning service. After worship we will have a light lunch and then begin working on some projects around our community. Let's show the love of Christ to our friends, family, and neighbors!! Also as I write this article the roofers are getting closer to finishing the roof!! Please be in prayer about what God would have you give toward the roof repair fund. Currently we have about 1/5th of the total. I know we all have busy lives and busy summers but let's do our best to show our love for Christ in our worship, our attendance, and our giving!! God is good… All the Time!! Paul Beam

FROM THE FROM THE FROM THE FROM THE
LOFT Greetings brothers & sisters, May is fading and June looms on the horizon! I guess that means school is out; summer ball games for all ages are in; VBS; Kidz Camp; Falls Creek; Super Summer; family vacations; & numerous other camps and activities will be vying for our attention for the next two plus months?!? Well, it doesn’t really sound much different than during the school term to me. Well, except for all the camps. Our kids are very busy these days and parents; grandparents; and other care givers are equally busy. Pray for one another and encourage all to make and take time for gathering in worship as often as possible! Yes, it really is important! Have you looked around at the world and all it throws our way?? Romans 12:10 says-Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. Bro. Paul has encouraged us to pray for; call; visit and encourage three people over the next four weeks. That should be easy if we will just decide to do it. Have you thought about who your three will be?!? Try it and just see who gets the biggest benefit. Perhaps someone will receive salvation as a result of your encouragement. Acts 8:26-38 speaks of Philip’s obedience that resulted in the Ethiopian man’s salvation; and all because he was encouraged by the explanation of Scripture! Wow! Let us be men of obedience as well and just see all the great things God may accomplish. 1 Samuel 15:22 also points up God’s preference of obedience over sacrifices. Seek to serve Him and see His mighty works displayed. See you in S.S. & church soon! (I hope!)
Love and prayers to all! “Sing”cerely,
Dale
Raise The Roof”
Roof Fund
On April 20th at a special called business meeting, we voted to repair our Church roof by “capping” the flat roofs on both sides of the sanctuary. This was an immediate need because of the damage our Church had received from the recent rains. The total cost for the project is $50,000.
A Roof Fund has been set up for this project. Total cost for the roof is $50,000. To donate, please mark your check or envelope “Roof Fund or mail to First Baptist Church P.O. Box 170, Tipton, OK 73570.”
Happy Father’s Day June 19, 2016
What Makes a Dad
Good took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The Warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quite sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle’s flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it … Dad Happy Father’s Day to all the Fathers

July 4 - July 8, 2016
Fa l l s Creek 2016 Theme : ONE The focus of our teaching in 2016 will be on sharing the Gospel message of our ONE GREAT GOD. Our focal verse is Isaiah 45:22, “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I
am God, and there is no other.”
We will talk about the following issues related to faith in Christ:
• The Gospel: We will learn a Gospel illustration called ONE GREAT HOPE.
• The Mission: We are commissioned believers, sent to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
• The Pretenders: The Gospel message is not heard without competing messages from the world. Many claim to offer what only the Gospel can provide.
The ONE True God: The God of the Bible stands alone as the creator, redeemer, and sustainer of all we know.
Cost $80.00
First Baptist Church Tipton July 4-8, 2016

Disciples Needed
The greatest issue facing the world today,
with all its heartbreaking needs, is whether
those who, by profession or culture, who are
identified as “Christians” will become disciples
— students, apprentices, practitioners — of
Jesus Christ, steadily learning from Him how to
live the life of the kingdom of the heavens
into every corner of human existence.

A Tale of Two Gardens
This is a tale of two gardens;
One brought death, the other bought pardon.
Separated by time and different locations,
All of history and life are focused on these foundations.
The fruit from the first garden was tempting to eat,
But the fruit from the second was bittersweet.
Doubt was placed in Adam’s mind by a snake,
But the decision he made would be a drastic mistake.
Christ faced the agony of obedience alone,
Where the amazing seeds of redemption were sown.
Through Adam’s error, we received death and condemnation,
But from Christ’s sacrifice, we found grace and salvation.
The same choice is laid before each of us today;
Will we choose obedience or choose to betray?

Fatherly Guidance
Every man who desires
to become a true father
has to look continually to
the Lord, that he might
learn of him how to relate
to his own children.
