TRANSCRIPT
Well, it is official: I have
been here at FCC Kent for 2
Months! My Family and I are
settling in and am happy to
report that Kent is home. For those of you who have
moved a lot, you know that
this is a really important step.
My wife and I have moved 5
times in the past 7 years.
Some places felt like home,
some did not. I’m happy that
all of us are settling in well. There are still plenty of
things to get acclimatized to.
Today, for the first time in
what seems like weeks, it is
raining, and I’m so glad it is.
The pollen has been knocked
out of the air! We got out our
rain coats (not umbrellas) and
look forward to opening the
windows tonight for a cool
evening. This place is different from
where we came from, yes, but
it is still the same. In Jesus’ time we might call
my previous experience
itinerancy; that is ministry that
moves from place to place as
called by the Spirit. One of the
great things about this
itinerancy that my family has
been doing is that my jokes
never get old! It is also a
reminder that there is only one
Church, one Body of Christ,
with many parts. But, what I
am valuing most about my
time before being called here
is the opportunity to learn in
many different situations and
congregations. I hope that
these experiences and lessons
will be of value to this ministry
here that we share in. I don’t want to concern
anyone, I think my itinerancy
is over, I’m not going
anywhere. I am planted and
invested in the future of our
ministry together.
Peace,
From the Pastor

Dan Lenhart, our custodian, along with his son Noah have headed to
Uganda with Harvest Vision Ministries (out of Sedro Woolley, WA) for a
10-day mission trip. They will be passing out Bibles and water filters to
people in several remote villages, along with talking to area coordinators
about their needs. During the trip, they will visit an orphanage and bring
them supplies. Dan has done the trip before, but it is Noah’s first time. Please pray
that their trip is safe and fruitful.
