Intercessions for Life For all children in the womb: May they be seen as gifts from the Father, and gifts for the world;
We pray to the Lord.
This Sunday marks the end of another
season for our wonderful Children's
Choir. Thank you to the parish for
being so supportive. Most of our choir
members have been brave enough to go sing the psalm
up at the front, either alone or with a buddy. With your
smiles, really feel the love as they walk back upstairs.
I am most grateful to the parents and our priests for
supporting and encouraging our young people's
participation in the mass and learning this beautiful
music. Anyone in grades 3-8 are welcome to join us at
any time in the year. We rehearse every Monday
evening, so keep that in mind as you plan your fall
activities.

Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish Office of Faith Formation
289 Lafayette Road Hampton, NH 03842
Dear Parish Family, This week’s insert is the hard copy of our registration for Faith Formation for the upcoming school year. We wanted to include this letter along with the registration because as many of you know, this past year has been one of change as our Diocese moves into the implementation of the Restored Order of Sacraments. This spring we celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with our 8 th through 11 th grade families and our 3 rd grade families at a second Mass. The why behind this change is that an alarming number of our Catholic children who were baptized and received First Eucharist did not continue their formation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our Bishop believes it is important for children to receive the strength, the grace of Confirmation as soon as possible to assist them with the challenges they face in today’s world. Restoring the order of sacraments also places the Holy Eucharist where it should be, the final sacrament of initiation, a gift unlike any other, the Source and Summit of our Faith. This year will be the first year that our 3 rd graders will receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist at the same Mass and our 5 th-through 8 th graders will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. We have heard many comments about this initiative; from relief that ‘CCD’ will be finished sooner to concern as to whether there will sti ll be faith formation sessions because families need the Church to help raise their children in the faith; and everything in between. This leads us to an even more important aspect of the Bishop’s Initiative – li fe-long faith formation. Sacramental preparation is an introduction to living as Jesus calls us to live, they prepare us for a lifetime of awe and wonder, as we grow in relationship with our loving God over time . Over the coming years Faith Formation in our parish may change in some aspects; but we will always be here to support our parish families, the domestic church, in creating opportunities for children to grow into their faith rather than to leave their faith behind after sacraments have been checked off the list of things to do. Parents, guardians, extended family, have always been the primary teachers of the Faith for our children; just look at all the siblings and grandparents that take on the role of sponsor at Confirmation, a true witness of shared faith. Faith formation in our parish will work side by side with our families, with the assistance of our incredible volunteers, to create a safe and welcoming environment where questions can be asked, our story can be told through Sacred Scripture, and prayer can become a part of our daily conversation with our Lord. We will continue to engage children in age appropriate activities to draw them closer in relationship to Jesus because there is simply no task more significant and deserving of our time and effort than helping them gather knowledge about their Catholic faith and having that knowledge come alive in their hearts through worship of our God and caring for our neighbor. We hope to see many of your smiling faces over the summer (VBS perhaps), and in the fall as we begin another year of working with you to bring our children closer to our Lord.
May His peace be with you,

Below is just one of the many CD titles available in our Lighthouse Media Collection:
Full of Grace: The Message of the Angel
Renowned speaker, author, and musician Vinny Flynn makes the angel’s message at the Annunciation come alive with meaning and relevance by delving into Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the writings of St. John Paul II. Vinny helps listeners understand the deeper significance of the words of the Hail Mary prayer and the angel’s greeting, offering penetrating insights into the role of our Blessed Mother in God’s plan of salvation.
Saint John Paul the Great Discover the five great loves of Pope Saint John Paul II as Jason Evert, renowned Catholic speaker and author, shares remarkable stories about this saint’s life from those who knew him, including bishops, students whom he taught, and Swiss Guards who interacted with him daily. Jason presents a wealth of insights about this holy man who promoted devotion to Divine Mercy and Marian consecration, helped defeat communism in Europe, wrote the Theology of the Body, and embraced young people like no other.
We kindly ask for a donation of $4.00 per book (or otherwise specified suggested donation), $3.00 per CD, $2.00 per booklet and $0.50 per pamphlet so that we may continue this program. Please make all checks out to “OLMM.” Won’t you reach out and help bring someone home?

Please join us for our new dynamic Adult Faith Formation Study The Sacraments - Discovering the Treasures
of Divine Life.
Some of the most important and necessary building blocks of human life are so often taken for granted: water, air, fire, food… We live each day without any sense of gratitude
for these blessings that sustain our physical life. And so it is for our spiritual life. The sacraments are the very lifeblood of our soul. In this new 8-part program from Saint Benedict Press, host Fr. Matthew Kauth brilliantly illuminates not only the scriptural foundation and profound spiritual realities of each sacrament, but also the necessity of each as a means to living a happy and fulfilled life that leads to heaven. Complementing Fr. Kauth’s teachings are interviews, profiles, biographies on the saints, scriptural reenactments, and other compelling features to show the power of the sacraments. Filmed on location at some of the most beautiful churches in the country, this groundbreaking program will reveal how vital the sacraments are and inspire intrigue in their profound mysteries in such a way that no participant will ever again take them for granted. The program will run for eight sessions beginning the week of July 7th. There is a choice of Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:30am or Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm. All sessions will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. The cost is $30 for materials, which includes a workbook and access to video streaming. For more information or to register, please contact Judi Park at 603-926-6131 or email [email protected]. Registration deadline is June 24th.
