Hello everybody! It sure is nice to have a few of these rain
storms come through lately. The plants needed it. I like it
when it rains because it freshens the air from all the dust.
Almost like an inspiration, a fresh breathe of clean air. Isnt that what Florida intends on selling us all the IDEA of Fresh Water and Air. Still people die fighting the system for they done damage to their health and as time goes by, the people
die! Then you become someone who ends up on an old broken record squawking the
same fight for them until it stresses you or financially drains you, then you die too.
Its a shame I say it like that, but after last edition and the scarce responses I did and Didnt get concern me, for you. But maybe you really dont care what your neighbor is dumping in his ground next to yours? By the time you taste or detect it, its too late. I do want to say thanks and hope this makes a better tomorrow. I got several interesting
calls from people (in positions to do something but cant) for they fear scrutiny towards the family name or even for the sake of one ladys LIFE? Rediculous as it may seem to some of you may think (yet, I found this also to be true). Over standing up to BIG COs? When one person wrote and commented that there are some deep pockets around here
that have made some very bad decisions they took upon themselves. How can you make
someone Pay for a LIFE that is gone? By preventing any other Lives from being affected
in the same way? Promote clean Air and Water throughout our entire state of Florida?
When I read over some public E-mails from Governor Scott about this particular site. I
was speechless to see what I read. Something like this: Its NOT in our best interest to sue a company (that is a Large contributor to our State and the Clean Up Act) WM.to make them clean it up first would make them/us look bad? WHY? Because you would
have to sue them to correct this problem now, for it will only become worse as time goes on. They have the resources through the EPA (costs > lives?) Your not worth it!
My question next is if they truly do CARE about Fresh, clean anything, why not do it because its the ONLY way to correct the problem! Why cant Waste Management or Waste Pro join efforts and make this a safe place for future generations to live near?
Just like that county code-enforcement issue we had, same thing. All talk, no actions to
correct the problem. If they had addressed it properly back then, we wouldnt be wasting your time going through the same shit from the same person(s) as it was years ago. I
dont care who you are or what you did before. But you Do NOT move into a Residential platted surveyed Land and fire up a commercial style entity. You damage the values of
the other homes within that area. There are Laws we have discovered that prevents such
action in Florida, no matter what county you live in. Guess what? They have already
been contacted. We have filed so many papers as of late, some heads are going to roll.
You see through my investigating I have found numerous flaws within our county and
its current system and the way it works. As an individual from a much larger city, as a person who has lived in several other Large cities. I say this county takes the Cake!
To make the rules up as you go mentality. How many folks does it affect? Is it worth
the time to pass and enforce a code to ensure hefty fines are accompanied with those who
have broke or violated the code or said Law? I say YES! Why should any of us abide to
any setbacks, when I know for a fact, that if you build it quick enough by the time some-
one complains (if they call it) then it will be done by the time they come out. Cat -vs-
Mouse kind of crap in this county. Remember we pay taxes for this LACK of Code Enforcement yet THE NAME SAYS IT ON THE VEHICLES THEY DRIVE?..also the gas is on our dime. Their pay is off our dime, yet we get no true value HELP?
No different from the POLICE. If you call for help, why do you risk the one most prob-
able at being arrested? Really, this county has hundreds of cases where a Judge has taken
a one side of statement, issued a no-bond immediate warrant. And they think that is jus-
tice? Every time Ive seen cops called, they get both sides of the story and decide then on the spot if someone needs to be jailed for whatever they can think of. Isnt that part of there training? Proof is in the pudding. So, a person not there in the conflict decides
upon written, false words of one side and from that YOU (a judge?) think you know what
you did? If there was any just cause at all then why NOT WHEN THE ACT TOOK
PLACE? Because, we all know. Its not true. After the fact, (to seek revenge) and you took the bait. Whoever is driving this ship of shi* needs to be thrown overboard. WALK
THE PLANK! Capt. Crunch has more sense to put 2 & 2 together in play land.
The system is in place for this type of conduct from anyone in a residential area should
NOT have to deal with or accept at any level. So, if the system is in place, it must be
those working for the system that lack the skills or knowledge (just like the cops) to
make instinctual decisions and quit letting people slide when you know they are a prob-
lem. We got Laws, rules to abide by. Most of us know that if we dare break those rules
we will be punished by the Law that was written long ago. Not just since you moved
here. As most of you who have followed me over the years, that I say it like it is. I have
even written things that I didnt like, but it was the truth. If the truth NOT BE HEARD then WHO IS THE TRUTH FOR? Or are you just hoping no one finds out the truth till
after your DEAD? Save it for GOD. Good Luck. Even Erin Brokovich movie said it best
and proved the true value of success is doing what is RIGHT. while your ALIVE!

Changes only come when enough people call to order of descent standards

CAF THIRTY-A INDUCTED INTO TRIP ADVISOR HALL OF FAME
AND AWARDED TRIP ADVISOR CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE FOR
FIVE CONSECUTIVE YEARS
Caf Thirty-A has been recognized as a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame winner. The Certificate of Excellence award celebrates excellence in hospital-
ity and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great traveler reviews
on TripAdvisor. The Hall of Fame was created to honor those businesses that have earned a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. Winners include accom-
modations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually de-
livered a superior customer experience.
Being awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence five years in a row and in-ducted into the Hall of Fame is a remarkable feat for the entire team at Caf Thirty-A and wed like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor, said Harriet Crommelin, Owner at Caf Thirty-A. There is no greater seal of approval than being recognized by ones customers. The accolade is an over-whelming vote of confidence to our business and our continued commitment to excel-
lence. "Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years is a re-
markable feat. TripAdvisor is pleased to induct five-time award winners into the Hall of Fame, said Marc Charron President, TripAdvisor for Business. By putting a spot-light on businesses that are focused on consistently delivering great service to custom-
ers, TripAdvisor not only helps drive an improvement to hospitality standards around
the world, it also gives businesses both large and small the ability to shine and stand out
from the competition. Caf Thirty-A is a casual fine-dining restaurant featuring grilled and fire-roasted sea-
food, meats, and poultry, wood-oven pizza, vegetarian fare and hedonistic,
"architectural" desserts. The menu changes daily according to availability of ingredi-
ents. Fine wines and cocktailsincluding a creative menu of the best martinis in the
areacomplement each meal.
Rand Paul is ON THE MOVE and is channeling his crazy old dad again. Or at least, that's what you'd think if you listened to the foreign policy
hawks whose nerve Paul hit with a mallet by laying blame for ISIS at their feet.
Last week on Morning Joe a perfect place for Republicans to say things they'll regret later Rand seemed to go full Ron, clubbing "the hawks" not only for sum-
moning the Islamic State but soiling America's global role for decades.
"ISIS exists and grew stronger because of the hawks in our party who gave arms
indiscriminately," the Kentucky senator and 2016 candidate explained, "and most
of those arms were snatched up by ISIS. These hawks also wanted to bomb Assad,
which would have made ISIS's job even easier. They've created these people."
He went on: "Everything that they've talked about in foreign policy, they've been
wrong about for 20 years, and yet they have somehow the gall to keep saying and
pointing fingers otherwise."
Now, cable news is just about the worst place in the world to develop a careful cri-
tique of American grand strategy. Nor is it a great place to make a wide and deep
argument about hawks' resistance to recognizing the truth. Paul's words thus gave
his adversaries on the right a great opportunity to fire back at him.
But still, Paul made a muscular case. For generations, our foreign policy hawks
have positioned us squarely at the heart of what Dick Cheney forthrightly called
"the dark side." We're not just talking enhanced interrogations here. It's a matter of
public record that the U.S. has long behaved badly in Cold War battlegrounds like
Latin America and the greater Mideast. During and after the Cold War, it has not
been out of the ordinary for the U.S. to undermine governments, arm rebel groups,
and bankroll clients and insurgencies capable of turning against us.
For honest hawks like Cheney, that's the harsh cost of doing business in a broken
world that will turn against us unless we keep it off balance. For an honest hawk,
America simply lacks the money, the resources, and the willpower to march around
the world challenging all its foes to full-on tank battles in an open field. Honest
hawks admit that World War Two-style warfighting and World War Two-style
patriotism have died, arm in arm, of old age. Today, they admit, we're the lone su-
perpower, and if we want to project our power, we have to do it under the table,
operating in a shadow world most of us don't want to imagine and will never get to
see. We the People are on a need-to-know basis, and we don't need to know.
For another breed of hawks, that's too depressing to deal with. Deep in denial, naive
hawks insist that there's no real moral burden involved in a muscular foreign policy.
For them, having our way around the world is actually morally purifying. Through
the discipline of achieving courageous clarity about our friends and our enemies,
we attain the clearest understanding of our own national character. "They hate us
for who we are," we say.Paul hasn't yet proved that he knows how to switch out our
failed grand strategy for the one we need. But he's clearly showed that our hawks
need to level with America about how they think we're obliged to behave. For that,
he deserves credit, not the Ron Paul treatment. Hes on the right track. In Last edition there were several concerns for our citizens to think about. Talk about it. Together we can make things happen. This takes a community to stand up to things that
have been left unattended and neglected for many years. We must take action NOW!

$5 Insanity: What You Should
Know About Flakka
Flakka, a new designer drug, is surging in popularity. Poison control
centers in states including Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas are
responding to an increasing number of incidents involving it.
Heres what you need to know:
What is flakka? Its a man-made stimulant called an alphaPVP. Its similar to bath salts, another dangerous drug thats grabbed headlines in recent years. Its off-white, coarse crystals sell for as little as $5 a hit. The name
comes from la flaca, a Spanish club-slang term for a sexy, skinny girl.
It looks like aquarium gravel, says Alfred Aleguas, PharmD, manag-ing director of the Florida Poison Information Center, Tampa.
How is it used? Those ways include:
Snorting
Mixing with food
Drinking like a tea
Pressing into pill form
Inserting it into the rectum
Vaping in an e-cigarette
Injecting
With injecting, youre really asking for trouble, because the drug is likely to be cut with dirt, with talc, who knows what else -- and youre putting all that in your veins, Bernstein says. How does it work on the brain? Users feel a sense of euphoria, Bern-
stein says. It plays with your neurotransmitters, [brain chemicals] like dopamine and serotonin. That can lead to a state called excited or agi-tated delirium in a high that lasts for several hours.
What are the risks? People who are high on flakka often lose touch
with reality, Aleguas says. They dont know what theyre doing, theyre hallucinating, theyre paranoid, theyre aggressive, theyre super-agitated, he says. Thats why you see news stories of people running down the street naked, banging on cars in traffic and just crazy, crazy
stuff. Other health effects that Aleguas and Bernstein often see include:
Rapid or irregular heartbeat/ Higher blood pressure /Seizures
Another dangerous effect is hyperthermia, or elevated body temperature,
which Bernstein says can reach 108 degrees. At that temperature, he
says, blood can no longer clot and a person starts to bleed internally.
They bleed and they go into multi-organ failure, he says. Lung, liver, kidney, and brain injury can each occur when their temperature stays too
high for too long. In an emergency room, doctors attempt to cool the person, to calm them. They may also use diazepam, midazolam, or an-
other similar drug to slow a users heartbeat. We give them symptomatic and supportive care, try to keep them from
hurting themselves and hospital staff, he says.
Who's using flakka? Bernstein says most users are male and in their
teens, 20s, or 30s, although some are older. I havent seen any regular users, he says. It tends to be used sporadically and is associated with concerts and parties and things like that. Watch those teens and young adults they dont realize their life is on the LINE, seriously. It doesnt take long to KILL. Theres no quality control on the street, so no one knows for sure what theyre taking, he says. Just because they bought something called flakka, no one knows if thats really what they used, much less what kind of concentration youre getting. Its an unknown
drug at an unknown dose, and any dose is abuse.
Crystal Meth: What You
Should Know
Crystal meth is the common name for crystal
methamphetamine, a strong and highly addictive
drug that affects the central nervous system. There
is no legal use for it.
It comes in clear crystal chunks or shiny blue-white
rocks. Also called ice or glass, it's a popular party drug. Usually, users smoke crystal meth with
a small glass pipe, but they may also swallow it,
snort it, or inject it into a vein. People say they have
a quick rush of euphoria shortly after using it. But
it's dangerous. It can damage your body and cause
severe psychological problems. Most of the crystal
meth used in this country comes from Mexican
superlabs. But there are many small labs in the U. S. Some are right in people's homes. Making
meth is a dangerous process because of the chemi-
cals involved. Along with being toxic, they can
cause explosions. Watch your neighbors in woods!

FIFA President Sepp Blatter
to step down amid corruption
FIFA President Sepp Blatter on this past Tuesday
announced that he would step down from his post
following the election of a new leader at an
"extraordinary congress" of the organization. He
said the congress is to be convened "as rapidly as
possible."
The announcement, made at a press conference in
Zurich, was a surprise, coming just days after Blat-
ter won re-election to a fifth term amid allegations
that top FIFA officials had engaged in a massive,
decades-long bribery ring. Though Blatter had tried
to distance himself from those indicted in the scan-
dal, officials confirmed that Blatter is now the focus
of their investigation.

Healthmark Health Matters Leg swelling the most common symptom Leg swelling can occur in any part of the legs, from feet and ankles to calves and thighs. Leg swelling can result either from fluid retention or from inflammation in in-
jured or diseased tissues or joints.
Unfortunately, leg swelling is a common symptom for a wide variety of medical prob-
lems, both serious and mild. Many of the causes of leg swelling, such as an injury or
prolonged standing or sitting, are easily identified, but sometimes leg swelling may be a
sign of a more serious disorder, such as heart disease or a blood clot.
According to researchers at Mayo Clinic, leg swelling caused by the retention of fluid
in leg tissues (peripheral edema) can be caused by a problem with the circulatory sys-
tem, the lymphatic system or the kidneys, including acute kidney failure, cardiomyopa-
thy (disease of heart tissue), chronic kidney disease, cirrhosis (scarring of the liver),
deep vein thrombosis (DVT), heart failure, hormone therapy, lymphedema (blockage in
the lymph system), nephrotic syndrome (damage to small filtering blood vessels in the
kidneys), too much pain reliever, such as ibuprofen or naproxen, pericarditis (swelling
of the membrane surrounding the heart), pregnancy, prescription medications, including
some used for diabetes and high blood pressure, sitting or standing for long periods of
time and thrombophlebitis (a blood clot that usually occurs in the leg).
Leg swelling can even be caused by inflammation in leg tissues. Inflammation may be
a normal response to injury or disease, or it may be due to rheumatoid arthritis or an-
other inflammatory disorder. There is usually some pain with inflammation.
Factors that can contribute to inflammation in the leg include Achilles tendon rupture,
ACL injury (tearing of the anterior cruciate ligament in your knee), Baker's cyst, broken
ankle/broken foot, broken leg, cellulitis (a skin infection), gout (arthritis related to ex-
cess uric acid), infection or wound in the leg, knee bursitis (inflammation of fluid-filled
sacs in the knee joint), osteoarthritis (causing the breakdown of joints), rheumatoid
arthritis (inflammatory joint disease) or a sprained ankle.
Seek medical care right away when leg swelling occurs for no apparent reason or
there is difficulty breathing, chest pain. These could be warning signs of a blood clot in
lungs or a serious heart condition. Non-emergency problems related to leg swelling also
need prompt care. Leg swelling that is the side effect of a drug can look just like leg
swelling caused by a kidney disorder. Make an appointment as soon as possible so that
the physician can diagnose the underlying problem.
In the meantime, put a pillow under the legs when lying down, which may lessen
swelling related to the buildup of fluid. If you need to stand or sit for long periods, take
frequent breaks and move around, unless the movement causes pain. Over-the-counter
(nonprescription) pain medication may lessen painful swelling.
For more information, contact Dr. Tom Roberts, P.A.C., at Healthmark Walk-In
Clinic, (850) 951-4556.

Senate Approves Bill to Rein In N.S.A.
Surveillance
In a remarkable reversal of national security policy
formed after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, the
Senate voted on Tuesday to curtail the federal govern-
ments sweeping surveillance of American phone re-cords, sending the legislation to President Obamas
desk for his signature.
The passage of the measure, achieved after a vigorous
debate on the Senate floor, will lead to the reinstate-
ment of government surveillance efforts that were blacked out on Monday after Senator
Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, blocked their extension.
The vote was a rebuke to Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky and the major-
ity leader, as lawmakers beat back a series of amendments that he sought that would have
rolled back proposed controls on government spying.
Mr. McConnell took the Senate floor to give a speech unusual in its timing and tenacity be-
fore the final vote on the bill, which he cast with derision. The new law, he said, would take
one more tool away from those who defend our country every day.
President Obama said on Twitter that he would sign the bill when it comes to his desk.
Glad the Senate finally passed the USA Freedom Act, he wrote on the @POTUS Twitter
account. It protects civil liberties and our national security. Ill sign it as soon as I get it.
Especially contentious was a push to strike a provision in the House-passed U.S.A. Freedom
Act that would declassify some significant opinions by the secret national security surveil-
lance court. Mr. McConnell has played down the significance of that provision, calling the
changes discreet and sensible.
Amendment by amendment, his colleagues disagreed, and senators moved to pass the bill.
Walmart is raising its minimum wage for more than
100,000 U.S. workers
Walmart announced that it is raising the starting wage for more than 100,000 of its U.S.
workers, including department managers and workers in specialized divisions. The wage
increases will go into effect next month.
Workers in Walmart's deli and wireless product divisions, for example, will now earn be-
tween $9.90 and $18.81 an hour, compared with a range from $9.20 to $18.53 an hour before
the increase. Meanwhile, department managers in electronics and automotive care will earn
between $13 and $24.70 an hour, compared with $10.30 to $20.09 before the increase.
Walmart is America's largest private-sector employer, with 1.3 million employees nation-
wide. The company said it is spending $1 billion to raise its workers' wages.

Funny. Look
the Editor is Capricorn..
Dear Editor,
I was hesitant to write you for the fear of the
back lash if they knew who I was saying this.
After all we had discussed over the phone I felt
like the citizens of this county need to become
aware of whats going on here. People and Land disputes are becoming more
and more of a common sight in the courthouse.
It will take people like you as well as other
northerners and people from those cities where
backwoods people like they are around here
can have a clue to what types of arguments and
disputes come about in tighter spaces.
Some people get shot over just crossin the land. Jump my fence, youll see the same. This isnt Louisiana and I dont want it to become that way, when people just turn and
look the other way. Things happen.
Keep up the great work you do.
Betty Ann Smernal
EDITOR,
WOW! What a gutsy edition to talk about that
Landfill and stuff. Ive heard the word, be care-ful with what you turn up. Some of the old tim-
ers are almost dead, not to be bothered by this
again. Even though they know they were wrong
and irresponsible.
The milk has done been spilt. Try and clean it
up? Good Luck is all I heard.
Jason
Dear Editor,
Thank you for getting the word out about our
new hours. The Biophelia center highly appre-
ciates you for helping us advertise our events.
Pet of the WEEK is awesome too!
Dont ever leave this town, please? S. Owens
Your curiosity is piqued, enticing you to consider dating if you've been out of the loop for a while. You're
in your element this week and eager to enjoy the pleasures of life. Even so, you might want to lighten your
schedule around the time of the Full Moon in Sagittarius. As feelings could run high, it would help to ease
off the accelerator and go with the flow.
This week career and job prospects may be on your mind, along with parental concerns and home-based
projects. Take advantage of opportunities to solicit opinions, as there could be a lot to discuss. In addition,
the temptation to indulge could show up, If you're eager to keep off the pounds, you may want to step up
your workout routine and trim the fat.
There's nothing wrong with this week that a little social planning can't set to rights. Although you may en-
counter resistance from a friend, or even a love interest, discussion could help find a creative solution. Later,
misgivings can give way to a lighthearted and joyous tone. Feelings of perfectionism may heighten too.
The Full Moon in Sagittarius could coincide with a strong temptation to purchase a big-ticket item you've
coveted for some time. Don't immediately go for it. Wait a few days and see how you feel about it then. The
move of Venus into Leo is excellent for entertaining or hosting guests in the coming weeks. You better use
your FREE time wisely or you could see some trouble coming your way.
Conversations lead to productive encounters along with opportunities to get involved in creative projects.
Take it easy on Tuesday, though, as intense feelings could stir up issues involving your sweetheart. This
isn't the time to make snap decisions or say anything you could regret later. The rest of the week seems
delightfully upbeat, bringing encounters that inspire and delight.
You're at that time of year when it's good to relax and recharge. Use this chance to tune in to your heart's
desire and tune out the world's distractions. You'll be more in touch with your core values, which might help
you make a key decision. Even so, it helps to pace yourself, particularly if you're busy professionally.
Translate restless urges into plans that can pave the way to a better future! A part of you may be looking for
something new, fresh, and exciting in life. Moving in new circles and networking with key people could
have a positive influence on your well-being and happiness. Venus dancing into your sign might encourage
you to change your style of dress or hair, it may make you feel better about yourself.
Career matters come very much to the fore, with this week's alignment excellent for networking with the
right people, getting advice, researching your options, and getting your face known in the right places.
You'll benefit from listening to your intuition, too, as it could be a crucial factor in finding the right job for
you or hooking up with someone who turns out to be on your wavelength as well as fantastic company.
Find something to celebrate this week, as the active influences can make for a memorable time. A focus on
relationships suggests that being a team player could be more useful than working alone. Plus, when
Venus glides into Leo a romantic bond could deepen as a result of one or two fabulous dates. You may be
inspired to make travel plans over the weekend. Any innovative ideas that can expand your horizons.
Business matters seem to go well this week, with the wheels of commerce turning in your favor. You
might pick up a few tips by hanging out with others who are experts at closing deals and making money. If
you're already an expert, consider teaching others how it's done, as it could be a lucrative source of
income. If you enjoy theater and drama, you'll do well on stage too.
Don't be so serious about life that you forget how playful your true nature can be when encouraged. If
you've had a lot of responsibilities to contend with lately, it might be time to relax and seek some fun. The
Full Moon in your sign on Tuesday is perfect for parties and celebrations. With the current alignment, you
may be champing at the bit in anticipation of travel adventures and other opportunities to explore.
Though creative conflict could show up, the motivation to make a start on an idea you've been mulling
over should bring results. Don't let doubts about your ability prevent you from going ahead. The move of
Venus into Leo might be enough to chase away doubts, boosting your confidence and enthusiasm and
helping you get ahead. Success happens when you take that first baby step and keep going. You'll also
benefit from a chance to relax and recharge.

Dear Editor,
It was an amazing article last weeks edition. The exclusive made some very interesting
points. When will the people be brave enough to
stand up for whats right. Stop whats wrong and
fix it completely?
The Coyote Landfill Area is a disgrace to the
State Of Florida. Yet they wont fine any com-pany that shows such a large contribution to-
wards our state. Our clean environment really is
just for visitors to believe. I do NOT want to see FREEPORT to become a wasteland of fumes
and toxic air pollutions. None of those Landfills
have EPA approved LINERS to them. The crap
just flows out in the Bay and no one who gets
sick thinks its not relayed to that area?
I used to take my children to Alaqua crossing
with the tree overhang. Nice to look at, but the
water is polluted. Especially bad after a rain. We
saw trash and diapers floating from under cur-
rents. Small children are suspectable to catch
strep. Open sores or swallowing some of the
water. No more lies. People raise your voice!
As an encouragement to you, I want to recom-
mend a book that was recently recommended to
me. It is written as a story, but about real
prophesies, which we are witnessing being ful-
filled. It helps you to step back and look at all
this "craziness" in the bigger picture of what is
happening. Perhaps you might have heard of it,
"The Harbinger," by Jonathan Cahn. I've stud-
ied the Bible extensively since I was a teenager,
so it makes a lot of sense in light of Biblical
prophecies. Pretty exciting, I think, that we are
living in the time in history that gets to see so
much of what was once "mysteries" fulfilled.
I suddenly had a lighting-bolt of inspiration as I
was reading Chapter 3, page 19, the last para-
graph at the end of the page, "If ancient Israel
fell away from God and turned against His ways,
its blessing would be removed and replaced with
curses." I then recalled another book that I have
in my library, "10 Curses That Block The Bless-
ing," by Larry Huch.
We can release blessings by speaking positive
words, and conversely attract curses by opening
the door to negative words. The book steps
through all the 10 ways to remove curses and
release blessings, and close the doors that allow
Satan into our life, just like he was allowed into
Job's life, by Job's pride. It was a wake-up
warning to me, that I needed to stop cursing my-
self, and start "closing some doors."
I wish more people would come forth as a unit
for the long term affects from this will only
grow deeper and deeper the more they pile on
top. Just cause you dont SEE it doesnt mean that its NOT in the AIR and Water you drink,
the fish you eat, the crab you liked so much.
Why would any Florida agent tell the citizens
the truth when its their economy and livelihood
that depends on it? It takes the people to rise!
Funny how people worry more about the
whiteness of the sand then the quality of the Air
or Water coming in from the Bay.
We only want you to stop by on June 27th
under an Oak tree at Freeport City hall. This is
open to all county residents concerned about the
future state of life around Freeport. P.H.M.

meetings are open to the public.
From The EDITOR,
I want each of you readers to think about the next couple years
around FREEPORT in particular. The way the businesses gather
along Hwy. 331. The zoning areas for Residential along Hwy. 331
have not changed nor do they intend to.
What do you want to brag about Freeport for? The trails, the waterways? Or the dumping ground and bad water / ground around?

Fun & Free Summer Ideas
Summer will end soon enough, and childhood as well. George R.R. Martin
As we gear up for summer break, I can
feel parents looking at the weeks ahead
and wondering to do to keep kids busy and
do it on a budget.
Make Paper Planes: Look up great new
layouts or teach your child the classic
folds of paper planes. Supplies: 811 paper, ruler, flat
surface
Build a Fort: Every child loves to pretend to be in the
wild west or camping out. Capture that creativity and build a fort as a hide out or camp site
inside. Supplies: sheets, pillows, blankets, tables, etc
Picnic: Load up a basket or backpack with all the fixings for your lunch or dinner and a
blanket. Head out to your local park or even your front lawn and have a fun meal.
Supplies: lunch or dinner food, blanket, flashlight (if at night), bug spray/sunscreen
Pillow Fight: No explanation necessary here. Supplies: big fluffy pillows
Hide and Seek: If your kid is too old for classic hide and seek, try out the night version
Ghosts in the grave yard and allow them to play outside at night (with parent supervision
of course). Supplies: good hiding spots
Bake Cookies: Find a recipe that uses any of the baking goods you have around home or
purchase a log of dough from your local super market. Let your child help with the measur-
ing and mixing. Supplies: cookie dough (home made or store bought), oven, cookie cutters,
icing, etc
Visit the Library: Look for new books to read, or create a scavenger hunt for different
books on animals (picture lists for the little ones). Supplies: library card, car (unless you
live within walking distance)
Go Thrift-ing: Thrift-ing can be a practical way to have your kid shop inexpensively for
things you really need at home. Supplies: A few dollars to let your child spend while thrift
-ing
Finger Painting: Allow your kids to go wild with paint. We recommend doing this craft
outdoors. Supplies: kid friendly paint, trash bags (to layout under where the little one will
be painting), large pieces of paper
Treasure Hunts: This is an easy way to occupy your kid long enough to get some chores
done around the house (maybe even a way to get them involved in the chores).
Supplies: hidden treasure (something like a favorite toy), a piece of paper with a treasure
map
Board Games: Even if you are lacking in board games at home, kids can make their own
checkers set. Supplies: Board games, supplies to make your own games.
