Personalising SMARTSupport for our spellers:

- Focus on high frequency words- Teacher directs the students which words they study- Students use more physical resources to identify the sounds they hear .i.e.

counters- Time for repetition and more time to learn

Enrichment and extension for our spellers:

- Students working on Etymological Knowledge (History & Origins of words)- Morphemic Knowledge: Best thought of as prefixes (unkind) and suffixes

(sickness) that occurs before or after a base word- Personal words from their writing are included
