SEEKING GOD FIRST
EVERYDAYin PRAYERMATTHEW
6:33
“But seek first His
kingdom and His
righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you
as well.” Matthew 6:33
Seeking means looking for God in Prayer and Seeking God means
seeking his presence.
“Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your
God.” 1Chronicles 22:19
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.Psalm 105:4
“Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of
God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other
things.”Matthew 6:33 (GNB)
1. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER MAKES GOD HIGHLY
SPECIAL TO YOU ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE THAT PLEASES GOD SO MUCH
FOR THE DAY.
“If then you have been raised with
Christ, seek the things that are above, where
Christ is, seated at the right hand of
God. Set your minds on things that are
above, not on things that are on earth.”
Colossians 3:1-2

SPECIAL TO YOU ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE THAT PLEASES GOD SO MUCH
FOR THE DAY.
"Father, if you are willing,
take this cup from me; yet
not my will, but yours be done."
Luke 22:42
2. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER ALIGN US TO THE
RULE AND THE WILL OF GOD FOR THE DAY.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God’s will is—his good,
pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
2. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER ALIGN US TO THE
RULE AND THE WILL OF GOD FOR THE DAY.
“You need to persevere so that
when you have done the will of
God, you will receive what he has promised.” Hebrews 10:36
2. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER ALIGN US TO THE
RULE AND THE WILL OF GOD FOR THE DAY.
Romans 6:13-14, 18-1913 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin,
as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but
under grace.
3. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER STRENGTHENS OUR
COMMITMENT TO LIVE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THE
DAY.
18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19 I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to
holiness.
3. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER STRENGTHENS OUR
COMMITMENT TO LIVE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR THE
DAY.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of
God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you. “ Matthew 6:33
(KJV)
4. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER PROMISES THERE WILL BE BLESSINGS THAT WILL BE ADDED
UNTO YOU FOR THE DAY.
Jeremiah 29:11-14 MSGI know what I'm doing. I have it all
planned out--plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. "When you
call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen. "When you come looking for me, you'll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want
it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed."
GOD's Decree.
4. SEEKING GOD FIRST EVERYDAY IN PRAYER PROMISES THERE WILL BE BLESSINGS THAT WILL BE ADDED
UNTO YOU FOR THE DAY.
CONCLUSION:
The great promise to those who seek God first in PRAYER is that he will be found. “If you seek him, he will be found by you”(1Chron 8:9). And when he is found, there is great reward. “Whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). God himself is our greatest reward. And when we have him, we have everything. Therefore, “Seek God first and His presence everyday in prayer!”
