Hey Seals,

Don't forget just because summer has started that does not mean that our du-

ty to service has stopped. As a great man once said

"With great service, comes great responsibility.”

I hope you all realize this and continue to serve and raise funds for our pre-

ferred charities. Remember that this upcoming year should not just be a solo

journey. This is OUR journey, OUR dream. By the end of the year I would like to

look over my shoulder and see a great path that has been built by Division 35

West. As I said before and as I continue to say we will make records then

break records.

Keep your eyes and ears out for more information regarding OTC! Officer Train-

ing Conference is an annual event for new Club Officers to gain necessary lead-

ership skills and training for the term. At OTC, various workshops are provided to

cover all necessary skills to be a successful leader. Workshop presenters are thor-

oughly prepared to educate Club Officers about the respective duties of their

position. Not only will you learn to become a better Club Officer, but you will also

learn about Key Club's Major Emphasis and preferred charities. All Club Officers

are strongly encouraged to attend in order to fully understand their position,

grow as a leader, and learn more about their role in Key Club International. Of

course, members are ALWAYS welcome to take advantage of the opportunities

at OTC as well! This event should be MANDATORY for all officer.

I was volunteering at the ISA charity by helping the fans get in and out

and not letting them get near the courts. The purpose of the event was a

basketball game to fundraise for Nepal. I enjoyed watching the game

and volunteering at whole! It was super fun and I got to stay backstage

with the Youtubers. I was internally screaming when they passed by us

cause we had to act professional. I had the opportunity to greet and

introduce myself to them. My favorite part was meeting Us the Duo. I think

my help was a great impact towards the game because I gathered all

the crazy fans aside and tried my best to not let them get on the courts. If

it weren’t were for the volunteer, the game wouldn’t be as well-controlled.

“During the Emerald Necklace Cleanup, we pulled weeds at Peck Water

Conversation Park. We tried to make the park as pretty as possible. The

most enjoyable part wasn't pulling the weed but bonding with my group.

We told jokes, laughed, and sang as we worked. At the end of the day,

many of the weeds were gone and I grew a stronger bond with my

friends .” -Joshua Tong, Glen A. Wilson

There has never been a time where I felt the

stinging nostalgia of departure while getting

caught up in an overwhelming amount pride in

my peers. The banquet provided this sensation

among all who attended. The most memorable

moment of the night was playing truth-or-dare

with Mr. Bashir. But last term as a whole, I can't

name it. All of the events I went to had etched

itself in my brain. To prevent food from being

wasted, while everyone was cleaning up Junior

Lerma and I went outside of the community

center and gave it to a homeless man.

CLOSING MESSAGE

Hi friends!

Schools out! Scream and shout! I hope summer break is going all as

well! As for me, the summer heat to this seal is killin’ me. Keep in mind to

those editors, continue to strive in your work whether through your articles

or summer school. I understand that summer is a time to ease, but not a

time to slack off. I’m watching you. I’ll also be emailing feedback of sub-

missions, so keep an eye out for any incoming mail. Have fun in the sun

and wear sunblock! I don’t want to see any red seals.

Good luck @

CSLB, Maharsh!

D35W will miss

you!

Thanks

Sarah &

D35W!
