Hello lovely Key Clubbers,

This high school year is coming to a close—just one more week!

That being said, let’s end the school year with a bang! I really look for-

ward to seeing you guys at our last meeting this Friday. There’ll be lots

of games and bonding going on, as well as your last chance to recycle

this school year! Recycling will be REQUIRED for you to attend DCON

next year, so make sure to get it in now while you have the chance! Be

there or be square.

Even though the school year is ending, the service doesn’t! We’ll

still be providing lots of service opportunities for you guys throughout

the summer, and there’ll also be a lot of bonding and division-wide

events as well! Look forward to more updates in the future.

Since this is the last newsletter of the school year, I want to express

my gratitude to an integral part of our club – the seniors. You will all be

missed dearly in our club. Thank you for your involvement these past 4

years! I hope you guys still come and visit in the future. Jenny Feng, I’m

so grateful to have had you in my life these past 11 years. We started

out as these little girls pretending to be mermaids in swimming class,

but then we were split up because I failed that class haha… and now

we’re here—two girls brought even closer by Key Club. Thank you for

the adventures, the memories, and for your friendship.

I hope you all enjoy this beautiful newsletter made by the even

more beautiful Danika Overstreet! Stay toasty Key

Clubbers, and remember that I’m here for all of

you.

In love and service,

Jessica Lou

To my fellow Key Clubbers,

Thank you for ending the year strong and continually volunteering; I hope

to see many of you during the summer volunteering events as well. It has been a

great year and I look forward to our next year together.

As always,

Happy (almost) summer, my key club children!

Not trying to make it awkward, but we're family, so you might as well be chil-

dren of us officers. Plus, my blooming pride of our club's accomplishments makes me

feel like a parent. We've done so much this year, and it wouldn't be possible without

you, so thank you! We raised a few thousand dollars for the Eliminate Project, just re-

cently eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus from Mauritania and India; woo hoo!

We helped Northwest Harvest package countless pounds of food, feeding thousands

of families across Washington, and restored acres of our natural parks from invasive

species. As a Kent Green Steward myself, it makes me so proud to see our youth en-

gaged in environmental conservation.

That is only among the few things we have done. I absolutely can't wait to see

what we'll do next year! I have high hopes, and look forward to a lot more participa-

tion. My goal is to keep it up the whole year. I see so much potential in this group,

and there are no better members for my Walk to End Lupus team than you all. It's a

fun and meaningful event I do for my cousin every year, and knowing what we al-

ready do, we could make so much change, from raising money for a cure to raising

awareness. Talk to me about joining!

This is your club too, so please let me know, or any other officer, things you

would like to see, or things to change. I want to make your Key Club experience the

best possible experience, and want you to leave with a sense of service embedded in

your soul, rather than just for the hours and recognition. Keep on volunteering over

summer vacation; what you do for your community is boundless and their gratitude

cannot be put into words. Neither can ours. Keep cool this summer.

In love and service

Ammara Touch

Its that time of the year again, summer time! While the end of the school

year marks the beginning of stress free days and late mornings, it also means we

have to say goodbye to our beloved seniors. But Key Club seniors aren’t like any

other graduating student, they are exceptional. Why you might ask? Well let me

tell you.

Key Club seniors have dedicated their high school yeas to some of the most

noble work you can do, helping their community and spreading joy. They have

spent countless weekends cleaning parks and helping those in need. Not only are

they some of the most intelligent and dedicated people you will meet, but also the

most caring. They are a blessing to all those who meet them and I just know that

where ever they go later in life they will continue to spread happiness and joy like

they have during their time with us.

This year we are saying goodbye to people who have really left a mark on

our club. Each and everyone of these graduates has served as officers and more.

On behalf of Kentridge Key Club I would like to thank the following people for

their years of service and all they have done for the club and community:

new people, and best of all

raising money towards the

Eliminate Project!

Didn’t get to attend

the May DCMs? Well don’t

fret because you’ll be able to

hear all about it here! Last

months DCM took place at

the Gene Coulon Park.

This was no ordinary

DCM though (not that any

Key Club DCM is ordinary),

but this time we had Key

Clubbers from districts all

around Seattle!

Attendees enjoyed get-

ting to pie the LTG’s, meeting

One DCM a month just

wasn't enough. We had an-

other DCM later in May

where they made memory

boxes. These boxes keep you

from forgetting anything as

you fill them with your favor-

ite Key Club memories. All the

Key Clubbers wrote heartfelt

notes to the seniors to put in

their memory boxes. I guess

you could say it was a DCM to

remember!

Thank you to all those who registered for this years amazing race! The

amazing race is a fun and action packed event put on for you by the KM and

KR officers. Open to community and Key Clubbers alike this is not an oppor-

tunity you want to pass up!

This race takes you all around Kent with a partner, searching for clues

and racing to the finish line. The end prize for 1st-3rd place is a gift card to a

restaurant of their choice.

This event takes place on the 20th of June. Regis-

tration has ended today (June 10th). But feel free to

come cheer on the teams even if you aren't competing!
