Colegio Biblico will have the wonderful opportunity to be present at the Hispanic Christian Convention, which will take place in the city of Houston, TX this year from July 15 to 17. At the convention, staff, faculty and administration will be participating in conducting worship for two of the services as well as performing special music. PROFESSOR JOSE MANUEL BARAJAS CONDUCTING ONE OF THE TRAINING COURSES IN MONTERREY On May 30, President Gonzalo Flores and professor José Manuel Barajas, were present in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico where they taught a training seminar for Christian leaders of that area. It was a well attended meeting, where the ties and relations between the churches in the area of north Mexico and Colegio Biblico have been strengthened. We thank the ministers and leaders of the metroplex of Monterrey for inviting Colegio Biblico and extending excellent hospitality to our expositors during this time. Charles E. Gurwell, past long time associate of Colegio Biblico, was called to God’s presence on June 22, 2014 at the age of 83. We extend our condolences to Kata, his lifetime companion and wife, and to Robert, Ruthy and Deborah, their children. Although the academic activities have ceased during the summer, the work continues. It is during this period, that the work teams and staff are dedicated to maintain the facilities at both campuses. Despite the extreme heat that characterizes this time of year in south Texas and nothern Mexico, maintenance staff strive, in company with a few students that remain on campus, to prepare for the arrival of our students next August. Moreover, our faculty and staff will be busy traveling in Mexico to conduct various activities in the Christian Churches in Mexico. Camps, conventions, campaigns and other activities will be carried out by our staff, who will represent the ministry of Colegio Biblico with dignity. May God grant us safe travel and strengthen our lives to the work carried out respectively. Keep praying for us, the Lord’s work continues. We thank God for the blessing He has given us in the form of funds for a vehicle for the ministry of Colegio Biblico. Colegio lacked a national vehicle in Mexico to transport students and staff within Mexico for promotional purposes and church activities nationwide. With God’s help and the disposition of Casa de Niños in San Luis Potosi, we were able to acquire a Volkswagen Eurovan Model 2001 for 8 passengers. We thank David Debolt and the board of Casa de Niños, who accepted Colegio Biblico’s offer for this vehicle. We guarantee that the van will definitely remain employed for the growth of God’s work.
