Gynella has always been a
fashionista. At a young age she
recalls playing dress up in her
mother’s clothes and design-
ing clothes for her dolls. “ I
highly despised the attires on the
dolls. I began cutting the clothes
off of each doll, and creating what
I thought looked best on my dolls”
she stated. Her love for fashion
grew even more when she received
her first sewing machine at the age
of 16! She began to design her own
clothes and execute it in the public
eye. In Spring of 2013, her first
collection was debuted at Georgia
Gwinnett College’s annual fashion
show. Gynella is currently working
on her second collection called
NGOUNOU.

Aman: What is the name of your collection?
Gynella: The name of my upcoming fashion line is
NGOUNOU. Not only is this my government last name, but it
also has a significant weight, which relates to the powerful line.
Aman: What inspired your line?
Gynella: My NGOUNOU Collection is a personal, r ich col-
lection, which is greatly inspired by a combination of my be-
loved intermediate family and designs by my favorite fashion
designer, the late Alexander McQueen. I want my collection to
speak volumes displaying something so complex and unparal-
leled.
Aman: What would be your advice for aspiring fashion de-
signers?
Gynella: My advice for fashion designers would be to listen
and give trust to your inner voice! Also, keep an elastic mind, be
very flexible as you possibly can, and most importantly ENJOY
life!
Aman: Where can people find out more info about you?
Gynella: People can locate my work on my Instagram page: @worldmissg. My personal page where they can learn about me is my Facebook page: Gynella Ngounou.

Congratulations Aleyda Ortiz! This Puerto Rican
beauty is the newly crowned Nuestra Belleza Latina.
She shows that it is important to have both brains and
beauty. At 25 she has several accomplishment such as
a degree in Public Relations. When asked what she
expects to accomplish as the new NBL, she stated, “I
want my year to be full of change and transformation.
I need to continue my lifestyle, my diet, and exercise
plan, and I want to be an example for all the girls out
there.”

Damone Tyrell is a 21yr old cancer that has been rap-
ping since he was 7. Moving to Atlanta from Buffalo,NY
at the age of 5, he later discovered his passion for mu-
sic while rapping in a cousin’sliving room. At the age
of 14 Damone decided to take rap serious, but free-
styling was the only way he knew how to use his talent.
By the age of 19, he began writing hooks and rhymes
on paper discovering his difference in flow content
and wordplay. His musical influences included A Tribe
Called Quest, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Kanye West.
His style of music is very experimental mixed with a
little 90’s soul. In 2011, he recorded 6 songs and made
them all apart of his E.P. named U.C. (Uniquely Crea-
tive). Early 2013, he dropped a full length mixtape
called “On Shuffle” producing, mixing, mastering and
writing every track. He proved he has talent but still
has a long way to go.
