WELCOME TO KKCL JUNIORSThe creative English language programme and Summer School atcentres in and around London.

KKCL Juniors is for boys and girls aged between 11 and 17*. The course has been designed for teenagers and older childrento appeal to their sense of individuality and creativity.

We are particularly proud of our Go Create! English Lessons. These one-of-a-kind classes allow our students to use theirimagination and language skills to produce creative work in English that is uniquely theirs. This allows us to designdynamic, challenging English lessons like no-one else.

WELFARE AND SAFEGUARDINGKKCL has comprehensive Welfare policies and procedures reviewed by both the British Council and the IndependentSchools Inspectorate and dedicated staff who do their very best to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your child. Studentsare supervised 24/7 during the programme and carry a 24 hour emergency telephone number at all times.

FLAGSHIP HARROW SCHOOLOur flagship school is located in London - Harrow, in a Grade-2 listed building - originally a 19th-century village schoolhouse - which has stood for well over a hundred years in our leafy corner of London. You will find the school has excellentmodern facilities, bright, cosy classrooms, a comfortable student lounge, and our own stylish cafeteria serving a widevariety of international food. The Piccadilly line into central London is less than 5 minutes walk away.

SUMMER CENTRESIn addition to Harrow, our Summer School programme takes place in London - Greenwich, Reading and Colchester.Our summer centres are all major university campuses with excellent facilities and safe and secure on-site residentialaccommodation. GO CREATE! ENGLISHActivate your English, learn new skills and discover hidden talents!

Many schools offer workshops; many schools offer English lessons. But very few can offer the integrated experience thatwe can.

In Go Create! English, language is explored in the classroom and then put into practice in creative workshops such asanimation, filmmaking and music production. The focus of each workshop is on using real English to discuss ideas, solveproblems and use language creatively.

Exam Preparation for GroupsWe prepare closed groups of students for Trinity, TELC and Cambridge exams if required. Generally these exams will takeplace on the final day of school. We are a registered examination centre for both Trinity and TELC.

Go Create! English offers...

• Dynamic, qualified teachers: All our teachers are creative, engaging and fully qualified according to British Councilstandards. They use a wide range of materials, media and different technologies in lessons, as well as music, dramaand storytelling.

• Accurate level-testing: After students have been welcomed to the school (and told a few rules!) they sit our grammarand speaking tests and complete a needs analysis. Right from the start, we make sure we get to know our studentsas both learners and people. We place students according to language level, but we also take nationality and ageinto account.

• Individual Certificates: Every student receives a KKCL Juniors certificate of attendance on departure.• Blended Learning: We use web-based apps for our Go Create! workshops so we can deliver the same programme

across multiple centres. Student work is available to view online.

Workshops• Filmmaking: Students take roles as both actors and crew (lighting, sound, camera, director) to shoot a short film.• Music Production: Students produce their own backing tracks on our computers, then record live vocals to create

their own pop song.• Animation: Students use a web app to build a complete animated story using a library of characters, backgrounds,

props, music and sound fx.• TV Presenting: Students host their own TV show on a green screen set.• Interviewing (Vox Pops): Students hit the streets to interview the general public about a topic then discuss the

answers in class.• Podcast: Students perform a radio drama in the studio or host their own magazine show so they can listen to it one

the web.

Harrow Homestays are a perfect way to experience a friendly atmosphere, practise English and learn about the Britishway of life. London is one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world so hosts can come from many different ethnicbackgrounds, but English is always the main language spoken at home. Meals are provided both at home and in schooldepending on the timetable.
